Your Opportunity

One Temporary Full-Time Position Commencing May 2027

As an Investor Relations Summer Student, you'll help to communicate how Capital Power creates value for our investors. You'll build the market and peer analysis that shapes our investor messaging, contribute to the quarterly earnings cycle, and see first-hand how a publicly traded power producer tells its story to capital markets.

You'll work alongside experienced professionals on projects that inform key business decisions.

What You'll Do:

- Research and analyze market, competitor, and industry trends, and translate complex data into clear insights.
- Build and maintain peer-tracking analysis - monitoring competitor investor presentations, earnings calls, and messaging.
- Support the quarterly earnings cycle, including data updates, collection, and analysis for press releases and investor presentations.
- Assist with preparation of materials for investor and analyst engagement, including conference preparation, investor profiles, and briefing documents.
- Maintain the investor meeting record, tracking trends, questions, and feedback from the investment community.

What You'll Bring:

- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Interest in corporate strategy, finance, capital markets, or the energy sector.

Additional Details:

To be considered for this role you must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
