POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting the Division President, Relationship Sales Officers (RSOs), and clients, with a focus on the Auto/Light Truck & Medium/Heavy Truck Divisions.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Assists RSOs in daily sales activities and serves as backup to RSOs and other Sales Support team members.
- Assists the RSOs with funding requests by collating underwriting requirements and forwarding to appropriate value stream members.
- Reviews loan/lease approvals with RSOs and enters funding requests in InSight. May review loan/lease documentation with clients to address questions.
- Follows up on funding items to ensure timely funding; works closely with Loan Operations, clients and RSOs.
- Facilitates the rapid and orderly flow of client requests through SFG value stream (Credit, Loan Operations and Accounting).
- Acts as a liaison between Sales and other internal departments (Credit, Loan Operations and Accounting) as needed to assist RSO.
- Follows up on current pending and/or past due client financial statements, title exceptions, insurance exceptions, and other items.
- Responds to direct or indirect client requests in a timely manner.
- Assists RSOs with prospecting efforts.
- Participates in test groups or special projects as requested.
- Reviews and researches requests for management.
- Regularly makes recommendations to management to assist clients.
- Assists with implementation, training, and follow up on cross-selling opportunities.
- Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
- Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with their requirements.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Periodically attend industry trade shows and/or client visits with RSOs.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Five (5) or more years of relevant business experience preferred.
- Prior documentation, credit, accounting, and/or sales experience preferred.
- Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Tvalue/InfoAnalysis or similar pricing software, CRM (InSight).
- Able to occasionally work on weekends for special projects and extended regular hours to support west coast clients and referral sources.
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Outstanding client interaction, sales and service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good phone skills/techniques.
- Strong time management, organization and prioritization skills.
- Able to work under time deadline pressures.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, fast paced cross functional team environment.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize efficiently as the urgency of client needs shift.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree Preferred
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
