Job Description - Junior Lawyer

The Junior Lawyer will support the Head of Legal and other members of the Legal Team in day-to-day legal activities, with a particular focus on corporate and commercial matters, contracts, regulatory and licensing matters, crypto/fintech operations, and compliance.

This position is suitable for an early-career legal professional who is interested in developing practical legal expertise within a fast-growing Fintech and Crypto environment.

The Junior Lawyer will work under the direct supervision of the Head of Legal and collaborate with relevant business functions across CityPay.io.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Law; a completed or ongoing Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
- Preferably 1–2 years of relevant legal experience, including experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, fintech, financial services, technology, or a related sector.
- Strong interest in developing expertise in crypto, digital assets, fintech, payments, and financial regulation.
- Previous experience in the crypto or fintech industry will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and international business environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with day-to-day corporate legal matters of CityPay.io Group and its subsidiaries.
- Prepare and review corporate resolutions, powers of attorney, minutes, approvals, and other corporate documentation.
- Support company incorporations, restructurings, changes in management/shareholding, and other corporate procedures.
- Maintain and organize corporate records and legal documentation of Group companies.
- Draft, review, and amend commercial agreements, including service agreements, partnership agreements, consultancy agreements, NDAs, sponsorship agreements, loan agreements, employment agreements, and other business contracts.
- Conduct legal research related to cryptocurrency, digital assets, VASP activities, payment services, fintech, licensing, and related regulatory matters.
- Monitor relevant regulatory developments and prepare internal legal updates regarding regulatory changes.
- Support the Legal Team in assessing legal and regulatory requirements applicable to new products, services, markets, and business models.
- Assist in reviewing and updating internal policies, procedures, terms and conditions, privacy and confidentiality documentation, and compliance-related materials.
- Conduct preliminary research regarding local corporate, licensing, crypto/fintech, employment, and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare legal correspondence, notices, and responses to third parties.
- Support employment and HR-related legal matters.
- Monitor legal deadlines and follow up on outstanding legal matters.
- Perform other legal tasks assigned by the Head of Legal.
