IT Data Analyst Intern

The purpose of Southwire’s College Programs is to provide valuable experience to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher. Our goal is to give students meaningful work that builds on what they are learning in the classroom. Our programs are project based. Students will receive a project at the beginning of the summer and present it in our project expo at the end of the summer. Job Summary/Objective:
The purpose of Southwire’s College Programs is to help early career professionals bring together formal learning and

productive work to improve their ability to transition from school to work. Southwire provides interns and co-ops with

“real world” applications of their academic studies, helpful feedback and coaching, and consideration for employment

after graduation. Each student will have a variety of responsibilities and assigned projects that relate to their field of

study and be responsible for developing a timeline, progress updates, and final delivery in a senior leadership expo.

Note: All new interns and co-ops must begin in the summer rotation.

Key Responsibilities
· Your intern assignment is generally 10-12 weeks, and co-op assignment is generally 16-18 weeks and

will include an assigned project and opportunities to present your work.

· You will also collaborate on other exciting projects and work with talented peers and inspirational

leaders, many of whom began as interns and co-ops themselves.

· You will be provided a robust developmental experience through an immersive onboarding and

offboarding experience, assigned a mentor, networking opportunities, organized events, activities, and

community service /volunteer initiatives.

Long Description

Project Summary

This position is to support the BI Analytics team in developing, enhancing, and maintaining BI Analytics tools, including but not limited to Celonis dashboards. Responsibilities include process mapping, data analysis, KPI tracking, and identifying process improvement opportunities. The role provides the student with hands-on experience collaborating with the BI Analytics team and business users. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works effectively both independently and as part of a team, proactively identifies problems and proposes effective solutions, and demonstrates excellent communication and analytical skills.

Description of Responsibilities

- Integration and validation of IT (SAP) and OT (Non-SAP) data using Celonis process and data mining capabilities to establish end-to-end visibility across multiple systems and data sources.

- Research on Celonis AI capabilities that can be utilized to generate predictive insights, identify potential anomalies or risks, and support proactive, data-driven decision-making and continuous process optimization.

- Analyzing end-to-end business processes and providing ongoing support for existing Celonis dashboards to ensure they remain accurate, reliable, and aligned with evolving business requirements.

- Research and evaluate alternative approaches and industry best practices for integrating with SAP S/4 data, including recommended extraction patterns, integration architecture, delta-processing capabilities, performance considerations, and handling of deprecated or compatibility-view tables.

- Documenting requirements, testing enhancements, and collaborating with business and IT stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

- Minimum 3.0 GPA

- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Degree in Computer Science or related courses.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate with IT and Business users.

- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.

- Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

- Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Preferred Qualifications:

- Exposure to BI analytics and visualization tools (Celonis, SAP BI, Tableau) is a plus.

- Demonstrated interest in BI Analytics, AI/ML, SQL

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Work Location: Hybrid

- On-site Corporate office, Carrollton, GA two (2) days per week; on-site days are flexible, with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
