REPORTS INTO

President & COO

⚠  This is not a delivery role. You will not run RCM accounts, manage billing teams, or handle client escalations. You will own the independent measurement layer that tells leadership whether delivery is doing what it committed to do. If you want to go deeper into governance and analytics rather than climb an operations delivery ladder, read on.

About the Role

Neolytix is a US-headquartered healthcare managed services organization running RCM, credentialing, and provider services for 270+ provider organizations across the US. Our delivery teams operate from Gurugram, Manila, and Chicago.

We are creating a new seat: Assistant Manager, RCM Business Excellence. This is the founding role of an independent governance function. You will sit alongside delivery, not inside it: your mandate is to define what good process looks like for every RCM account, measure whether it actually happens, and give leadership numbers they can act on. Quality assurance reports to you. You define the metrics, own the cadence, and build the function as it scales.

The shift is India business hours with overlap into the US morning for leadership reviews. This is not a night shift role. If you have spent your RCM career on a night shift at a BPO, that changes here.

What You Will Own

1. Process SLA Conformance

- Define the committed process standard per RCM account: charge lag, posting turnaround, AR touch cadence, denial resolution timelines, and aging thresholds.

- Track actual performance against committed standards at a granular level. Strategic accounts reviewed weekly, the rest monthly.

- Flag risks proactively with proposed solutions before they breach SLAs.

2. Monthly Performance Insight

- Build the monthly performance pack from daily productivity and quality data. The standard: a reader can act on it without asking a follow-up question.

- Breaches carry a named owner and a resolution date. Last month's breaches are re-checked before new ones are raised.

- Contribute to weekly and monthly dashboards shared with delivery leadership and, where relevant, clients.

3. Quarterly Financial Review

- Analyse financial performance across all RCM accounts: charges, collections, AR aging, denial rate, net collection rate, and cost to collect.

- Present trends to senior leadership each quarter. You will be supported in building this, and expected to stand behind your conclusions when challenged.

4. Quality Function Ownership

- Line management of the Quality Lead and QA analysts. You own the sampling plan, audit calendar, scoring consistency, and auditor calibration.

- Ensure QA findings reach the floor and drive change, rather than living in a report.

- Audit team output for accuracy; identify recurring error patterns and drive corrective action.

5. Process Change Measurement

- When a new coding guideline, SOP, or process rule goes out, measure whether it was adopted and what it did to denials or rework.

- Rule issued, adoption measured, impact quantified, result fed back. Close the loop, do not just report the issuance.

What You Bring

Must-Have

- 6 to 8 years in US healthcare RCM operations, with hands-on exposure to AR and denials and a working understanding of how process failure shows up in revenue.

- Experience building a reporting, MIS, or business excellence function from scratch: defining the metrics, sourcing the data, establishing the cadence. Inheriting and running a function is not the same thing.

- Fluency in RCM financial metrics: net collection rate, AR aging distribution, denial rate, first-pass yield, cost to collect. You can explain what moves each one, not just report the number.

- Advanced Excel and working SQL. You use SQL to validate data, not to list it as a skill.

- Confidence presenting findings to senior leadership and holding a position when challenged. This means publishing numbers that make delivery look bad when the numbers say so.

Strong Preference

- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process excellence training you have actually applied to a live project, not just certified.

- Experience across multiple billing platforms (AdvancedMD, Athenahealth, Kareo, Epic, Centricity, or similar) and the data normalisation that comes with it.

- Prior management of a small quality or audit team.

- Power BI familiarity, though the analytics team owns the front end.

Nice-to-Have

- Healthcare analytics firm or BPO process excellence background.

- Experience designing and running an MIS reporting function in a US RCM environment.

- Exposure to SSAE-18 or SOC 2 audit readiness in an RCM context.

Who You Are

- You publish findings that make the delivery team look bad, and you sleep fine afterward. If you soften conclusions to keep the peace, this is the wrong seat.

- You build something and then measure whether it worked. The artifact is not the point; the change it produced is.

- You ask what a number means before you report it. A chart that describes what happened is the beginning of the work, not the end.

- You would rather be right and uncomfortable than comfortable and wrong.

Eligibility Criteria

- Education: Graduate degree, any discipline. An analytical or healthcare-adjacent background is preferred.

- Communication: Excellent spoken and written English. You will present to the COO and CEO quarterly. Communication below this standard will not progress past the screening stage.

- Shift: India business hours with US morning overlap for leadership reviews. Onsite, Gurugram.

- Notice Period: Up to 60 days preferred. Beyond 60 days considered only for an exceptional profile.

Performance Expectations

What success looks like across the first year:

- Day 30: a current-state assessment published that honestly names what can and cannot be measured today. No softening.

- Day 60: SLA conformance tracking live for strategic accounts.

- Day 90: SLA conformance extended to the full RCM book.

- Month 3 onward: monthly performance pack running reliably. Leadership reads it and acts on it.

- Year 1: four quarterly financial reviews delivered and defended, MIS Analyst hired and producing independently, at least one process change closed end to end with adoption measured and impact quantified.

- End of year 1: the business argues from your numbers rather than about them.

Career Path

This is the founding seat of a function, not a standalone role. Business excellence and governance are established career tracks in RCM that run to Director and VP level at the large players. We are building ours from its first hire.

The function at company scale

The move to Manager is earned against stated milestones, not time served. The rungs beyond it describe where the function is heading as the business grows.

Hiring Process

- Stage 1: TA screening call (30 minutes). Role fit, domain depth check, and shift confirmation.

- Stage 2: Functional interview with the COO (45 to 60 minutes). Process knowledge, multi-account RCM experience, measurement approach, and how you handle findings that are unwelcome.

- Stage 3: Analytical exercise. A take-home case using real account data with a genuine deterioration in it. You have 3 days to complete it. We are watching whether you reach for root cause or describe the chart.

- Stage 4: Conversation with the CEO (45 minutes). Scope discussion, career trajectory, and how you think about building a governance function.

- Stage 5: Reference checks (minimum 2 calls). Specifically: an occasion when this person delivered findings that were unwelcome, and what happened next.

- Stage 6: Offer.

Why Join Neolytix

Founding Seat of a Function

You own this from its first hire. The metrics, the cadence, the standard: none of it exists yet. That is rare at this level and reads strongly on a CV.

Scope from Day One

The whole RCM book, not one account or one process. At AM level in most RCM organisations you own a slice. Here you own the view across all of it.

Day Shift, Not Night

India business hours with US morning overlap. Not a night shift role. If you have spent your career on a night shift, this changes here.

AI Makes This More Important

As automation absorbs transactional delivery work, the measurement and governance layer becomes a larger share of the organisation. We are building an RCM platform now, and its analyst roles report into this function.
