Location: Mick George Head Office/ Sites as and when required.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Job Overview:
To provide technical support to the technical waste department and the wider organisation to ensure that the business remains compliant with relevant legislation and our environmental permits.
Responsibilities
- Technically assess all waste enquiries generated by the sales team or direct enquiries using the current EA technical guidance document WM3.
- Understand and apply ADR regulations to classify waste for transportation.
- Ensure the Waste Compliance Manager is properly updated of any issues arising and provided with regular general updates.
- Prepare responses to Environment Agency information requests, CAR and WAR reports
- Ensure compliance of all waste assessments with current legislation, relevant permits, licences, and exemptions.
- Liaise with internal and external laboratories where sample analysis is required.
- To ensure that all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) are identified are dealt with passed to the originator of the enquiry in a timely manner.
- Liaise with customers, operations, compliance, customer services and sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work with operations for off-site disposal.
- Ensure all clients requests are acted upon promptly and efficiently.
- Answer all telephone calls promptly.
- To be diligent and respect the confidentiality of the information to which they are party.
- General administration as and when required.
- Assist in Duty of Care audits for existing and new customers.
- To maintain effective record keeping and documentation to accepted/approved methods and procedures.
- Generation of compliant Waste Transfer Notes and consignment notes.
Skills/ Qualifications
- Working understanding and previous experience of how to apply WM3.
- In depth understanding of technical / chemical waste analysis and SDS’.
- Working knowledge and experience of producing compliant duty of care waste transfer paperwork.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Ability to be methodical and flexible in approach to tasks.
