Radar Engineer

Job Title: Radar Analyst/Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a talented Radar Analyst/Engineer to join a well-established team of analysts and software engineers. This team supports prototyping, testing, and analysis efforts associated with tactical code development for AN/TPY-2 and SBX radars. The role involves working with real-time HWIL systems, tactical software, and hardware to perform prototyping, testing, analysis, and verification of tactical algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scenarios for radar system performance analysis.
- Develop analysis tools and apply new or existing tools to perform complex analyses.
- Enhance understanding of critical radar functions, including acquisition, tracking, discrimination, and system-level interactions.
- Support projects such as ground test performance analysis, post-flight reconstructions, and risk-reduction efforts.
- Collaborate in a dynamic environment that encourages team interaction and creative problem-solving.
Essential Skills
- 2-10 years of experience in radar analysis, with a preference for 4-7 years.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, radar systems, MATLAB, and radar analysis.
- Experience with radar signal injection and modeling using Python.
- Active Secret Clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with radar systems engineering and radar operations.
- Proficiency in data visualization, signal processing, electromagnetics, or system engineering.
- Experience with fire control systems and simulation frameworks.
Work Environment
The position is onsite at Redstone Arsenal, working in a lab environment. You will collaborate directly with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and engineers from various companies. The work environment is very collaborative with a relaxed atmosphere, allowing for flexible work hours. Employees can choose to work four ten-hour days or a 9/80 schedule. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
