What You'll Do

As a technical leader within the hardware team, you will:

- Design and layout complex multilayer PCBs for analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic applications.
- Capture and develop schematics using industry-standard PCB design tools.
- Optimize component placement and routing to maximize electrical performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
- Design for signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, thermal management, and high-voltage safety requirements.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Create fabrication, assembly, and engineering documentation to support production and configuration management.
- Develop and maintain component symbols, footprints, and design libraries while ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
- Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design-to-Cost initiatives.
- Participate in technical reviews, design assessments, and new product development activities.
- Mentor junior designers and help drive engineering excellence across the organization.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and champion PCB design best practices.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

- 10+ years of experience in hardware design and PCB layout.
- Extensive experience designing complex analog, digital, and mixed-signal PCBs.
- Strong experience working with high-power electronics, power conversion equipment, or power distribution systems.
- Proven experience developing complex multilayer PCB designs using both SMT and through-hole technologies.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative product development environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Engineering degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience designing switched-mode power supplies (SMPS).
- Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar PCB design software.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and military specifications.
- Experience within defense, aerospace, naval, or other highly regulated industries.
- Exposure to mechanical design or electronics packaging considerations.
- Strong documentation and technical writing abilities.

Work is performed using modern PCB design tools and Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on engineering best practices, adherence to IPC and military standards, and continuous improvement in design quality and manufacturability.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
