The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly proactive Technical UAV Program Coordinator to provide advanced engineering tracking, flight test coordination, and acquisition support for an emerging Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS/UAV) program. In this role, you will serve as the primary operational bridge between Program Managers, Project Officers, Systems Engineers, and Test Flight Crews. The ideal candidate will combine a strong technical understanding of unmanned platforms, flight readiness compliance, payloads, and weapon systems integration with the structured project management skills required to guide complex hardware and software iterations from the engineering lab to live-fly test ranges and deployment.
Responsibilities:
Engineering Coordination & Project Officer Support:
•            Technical Workstream Integration: Directly assist Project Officers and Systems Engineers in tracking initial aircraft development, technical assessments, engineering changes, and software/hardware configuration baselines.
•            Master Schedule Management: Maintain the program’s integrated master schedule, mapping engineering milestones, system dependencies, payload integrations, and hardware deliveries.
•            Technical Risk Management: Identify, log, and elevate engineering risks, system interface issues, and production bottlenecks to Program Managers with recommended mitigation strategies.
Flight Test & Range Operations Coordination:
•            Test Event Planning: Coordinate logistics, schedule range time, and compile readiness documentation for UAV test flights, live-fire evaluations, and sensor payloads.
•            Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Assist in obtaining Certificates of Waiver Authorization (COA), Airworthiness Release (AWR), maintaining compliance with DCMA 8210, tracking and routing flight clearances, frequencies, airspace requests, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) through military and federal authorities.
•            Post-Test Accountability: Coordinate post-test data collection pipelines, track engineering action items resulting from flight anomalies, and compile technical test event summaries.
Acquisition & Procurement Assistance:
•            Technical Package Support: Assist Program Managers in drafting and tracking technical requirement packages, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Justification and Approvals (J&As) for UAV procurement.
•            Vendor & COTS Tracking: Track the procurement lifecycle of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components, managing supply chain requirements, specialized payload technologies, and long-lead engineering materials.
Stakeholder Integration & Data Reporting:
•            Cross-Functional Communication: Facilitate syncs and technical reviews between internal engineering teams, sub-contractors, Government leadership, and end-users.
•            Technical Dashboards: Develop and maintain program trackers, metrics, and engineering dashboards that provide leadership with real-time visibility.

Qualifications:

Required:
•            Security Clearance: Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
•            Education: Bachelors’ degree in an technical, or program management discipline.
•            Experience: 8+ years supporting technical programs, engineering workflows, flight operations, or defense acquisition portfolios within the DoW, or IC environment.
•            Domain Expertise: Foundational understanding of UAV/UxS architecture, flight mechanics, payloads, or payload/weapon systems integration.
•            Technical Project Skills: Proven experience managing complex, multi-variable project schedules, technical action items, and cross-functional engineering dependencies.
•            Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical documentation from engineers and test pilots into clear, concise executive-level status briefs for non-technical stakeholders.

Desired:
•            PMP certified.
•            Master's degree in engineering, technical, or management discipline.
•            Direct experience DoW UAS flight test ops, range tracking, or airworthiness cert processes.
•            Acquisition Knowledge & modern project management experience.

Pay Range :

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$78,000 - $163,800
