Business Operations Manager
About Nebex
Nebex is building institutional-grade market infrastructure for the global space economy. The platform enables governments, enterprises, prime contractors, startups, and commercial participants to discover, procure, contract, and execute complex space-related transactions through a unified market and intelligence layer.
Nebex combines procurement infrastructure, market operations, verification systems, and data-driven intelligence to improve how space capabilities are sourced, financed, and delivered across jurisdictions.
The Role
Nebex is seeking a high-velocity, highly capable Business Operations Manager to serve as a core execution engine across executive leadership, Business Development, and Global Operations.
As customer and partnership opportunities progress, they create significant follow-on work across contracting, commercial materials, research, internal coordination, and operational execution. The Business Operations Manager will take ownership of driving this work forward, resolving blockers, and ensuring opportunities maintain momentum.
Working closely with executives and commercial team members, this person will turn priorities and direction into high-quality completed work. The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, comfortable operating across functions, and able to execute effectively in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment.
What You’ll Do
Commercial & Partnership Execution
- Support the COO, executives, Business Development, and Sales teams across priority customer, supplier, and partnership opportunities.
- Own follow-up actions from commercial discussions and ensure next steps are completed.
- Coordinate the information, documentation, approvals, and internal resources required to move opportunities forward.
- Track key actions, dependencies, deliverables, and decisions across priority opportunities.
- Conduct research and prepare materials for customer, partner, and executive discussions.
- Support the evaluation, structuring, and execution of complex transactions alongside Legal, Finance, and Capital Markets.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve blockers and maintain momentum.
Business & Executive Operations
- Support executive preparation, including board decks, investor and fundraising materials, and sovereign delegation briefings.
- Manage cross-functional and special projects spanning commercial operations, capital markets, international expansion, and company scaling.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Product, Operations, and other functions to obtain required inputs and drive deliverables to completion.
- Surface blockers and decisions requiring executive attention and ensure appropriate follow-through.
- Support company OKRs, executive meeting cadences, and cross-functional accountability.
- Own and optimize internal tools and processes, including Asana, Perdoo, HubSpot, and related platforms.
- Identify and implement lightweight process improvements as the organization scales.
- Support additional operational priorities assigned by the COO and executive team.
What Success Looks Like
- Commercial momentum: Priority customer, supplier, and partnership opportunities continue moving forward, with actions, documentation, approvals, and dependencies completed on time.
- Fast blocker resolution: Operational and cross-functional blockers are identified, escalated, and resolved quickly.
- High-quality execution: Work is completed accurately, reliably, and with strong ownership and follow-through.
- Executive and commercial leverage: Business Development, Sales, and executive team members spend less time on internal coordination, information gathering, documentation, and administrative execution.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in business operations, commercial operations, strategy and operations, consulting, transaction support, business development support, chief of staff, or a related role.
- Exceptional organization, ownership, and follow-through.
- Ability to take direction, understand the desired outcome, and independently determine the steps required to deliver it.
- Strong judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research, analytical, and presentation-development capabilities.
- Experience preparing commercial or executive materials and working with documents such as proposals, NDAs, MOUs, LOIs, term sheets, or contracts.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across functions and levels of an organization.
- High attention to detail and sound judgment about when additional input or executive decisions are required.
- Experience in aerospace, technology, marketplaces, financial services, infrastructure, complex B2B sales, or transaction-oriented businesses is helpful but not required.
