We are looking for a hands-on, dependable, and people-focused Director of Environmental Services (EVS) to lead our Environmental Services team and help create a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.

As the EVS Director, you will play an important role in the daily experience of our residents. You will lead a team, maintain high standards, work closely with other department leaders, and make sure our center looks and feels like a place our residents are proud to call home.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As our EVS Director, you will:

- Lead, supervise, and support the Environmental Services team.

- Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning and department routines.

- Monitor department performance and ensure responsibilities are completed consistently and on time.

- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and coach Environmental Services associates.

- Provide orientation and ongoing training to help team members succeed.

- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, infection prevention, and safety throughout the center.

- Ensure appropriate cleaning and maintenance of resident rooms, common areas, and other facility spaces.

- Maintain accurate department records, logs, schedules, and documentation.

- Oversee the proper use and care of Environmental Services equipment, including commercial washers and dryers.

- Identify maintenance concerns and work closely with the Director of Maintenance to address issues promptly.

- Participate in leadership meetings, QAPI, infection control, safety, and other committees.

- Work collaboratively with nursing, maintenance, dietary, activities, and other departments.

- Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and team members.

- Promote resident dignity, privacy, individuality, and rights.

- Help create a positive experience for residents by maintaining an environment that is clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

- Support our Service Excellence culture and lead by example.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Has previous supervisory or management experience, preferably in Environmental Services, housekeeping, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar setting.

PHYSICAL & SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS

This is a hands-on leadership position. The ability to:

- Walk and stand for extended periods.

- Bend, kneel, crawl, reach, grasp, and climb ladders as needed.

- Push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds.

- Work in hot, cold, or wet conditions when necessary.

- Work in confined spaces when required.

- Work occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on operational needs.

- Participate in on-call responsibilities and respond to the center when needed.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred, preferably in Environmental Services, housekeeping, healthcare, hospitality, or a related setting.

- Knowledge of environmental services, cleaning, sanitation, and infection control practices.

- Ability to understand and follow written policies and procedures.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to establish priorities and effectively manage multiple departmental responsibilities.

- Ability to train, supervise, and evaluate staff.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, visitors, and other department leaders.

- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic and written records.

- Ability to learn and operate department equipment, including commercial washers and dryers.

- Ability to recognize and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

- Commitment to resident rights, dignity, privacy, and quality of care.

PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the ability to:
