As Staff Growth Engineer for Strategy and Analysis, you will unlock rapid scaling of our Autonomous Vehicle fleet to unprecedented levels. This role will be integrated within a highly dynamic and rapid paced division of Robotaxi. You will design, train, and ship machine learning models that predict and uncover ridership trends, and which product experiences create lasting customer delight. Additionally, you will be on the forefront of rethinking how pricing of rides within Robotaxi should be structured.

Exceptional skill in machine learning and model training is required. You will own the math, the models, and the product bets that decide how the world transitions to autonomous mobility. You will work across vehicle software, product, operations, and finance. The vertical integration that only Tesla can produce will unlock pathways for adoption and product accessibility that does not exist anywhere else.

- Design, train, evaluate, and productionize machine learning models for rider acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, reactivation, and lifetime value

- Model novel pricing concepts end-to-end: pack design, price-to-value, ride cadence, etc

- Conduct A/B tests, that prove which experiences, offers, and memberships change behavior

- Create real-time and batch scoring for onboarding, personalized engagement, win-back, and pre-cancel intervention

- Partner with product, marketing, operations, pricing, and profitability so growth does not buy unprofitable miles

- Set the technical bar for growth ML: evaluation, monitoring, feature quality, and first-principles design reviews. Mentor engineers and brief executives

- Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field, proof of exceptional skills in a related field, or equivalent experience

- 5+ years building, training, and deploying production machine learning models with measurable impact on acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, or monetization

- Exceptional skill in model training and evaluation

- Strong software engineering, preferably full stack end to end, data analysis and experimentation skills preferred

- Hands-on experience with feature pipelines, model training workflows, and online serving or scoring systems

- Experience modeling subscription, membership, or recurring-revenue products, strongly preferred

- Ability to be resourceful and autonomously drive solutions in ambiguous, high-stakes problem spaces. Excellent communication across product, engineering, marketing, and finance

Expected Compensation $208,000 - $312,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
