As a Project Designer, you’ll develop and maintain 3D models and detailed production and manufacturing drawings that bring projects and products from concept to production. Working closely with design and project teams, customers, sales, operations, and engineering, you’ll turn concepts and limited information into accurate, production-ready designs.

Your work will directly support fabrication, purchasing, assembly, and production efficiency while ensuring designs meet customer specifications and RK’s documentation and design standards.

What You’ll Do

- Develop and maintain 3D models, product drawings, and basic electrical layout drawings used for fabrication, purchasing, and assembly.
- Create 3D progress models from conceptual designs and limited information while collaborating with design, project, and customer teams.
- Peer-review design work for manufacturability, readability, formatting, and compliance with design and documentation standards.
- Incorporate Engineering Change Notices, engineering bills of materials, redlines, and as-built information into project and product revisions.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to clarify design details, improve production processes, coordinate production tools, and identify opportunities to streamline manufacturing.

What You’ll Bring

- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a technical field preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of project or product design experience.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD, or Plant 3D; experience with Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D is preferred.
- Experience incorporating engineered bills of materials into 3D models.
- Experience with redline incorporation and product development processes.
- Ability to develop detailed drawings and designs that support fabrication, purchasing, assembly, and production.
