What You'll Do

As a key member of the HR team, you will:

- Serve as the primary HR partner for hourly employees, supervisors, and operational leaders across production, maintenance, sanitation, quality, inventory control, and warehouse teams.
- Build strong relationships by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor and engaging directly with employees across multiple shifts.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations concerns with fairness, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, conflict resolution, corrective action, and labor practices.
- Partner with managers to ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and organizational standards.
- Support workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, leave administration, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Safety and EHS teams on incident reporting, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety efforts.
- Work closely with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and other internal partners to support onboarding, transfers, leaves, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Drive employee engagement, recognition, training, and retention initiatives that strengthen workplace culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, enhance efficiency, and create a better employee experience.
- Help leaders successfully navigate organizational changes and business initiatives.
- Leverage HRIS systems, attendance platforms, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR Business Partner or Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Experience supporting employees in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, plant, food production, or similar operational environment.
- Full bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR compliance practices.
- Experience managing employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigations.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment supporting multiple shifts.
- Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and employee management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting large hourly workforces.
- Exposure to union environments or labor relations.
- Experience with leave administration, benefits coordination, and attendance management.
- Familiarity with Kronos or similar timekeeping systems.
- Background in employee training and development initiatives.
- Experience leading or supporting change management efforts.
- Ability to balance employee advocacy, compliance, and business needs in a dynamic operational setting.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Bronx, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
