Job Title: Data Entry / Enrollment Specialist Job Description
The Enrollment Specialist supports clients throughout the enrollment and maintenance process by performing accurate and timely data entry, managing records, and verifying participant information. This role serves as a key administrative resource, maintaining precise customer records while providing courteous, efficient service and strong attention to detail. Although the position is primarily focused on administrative and data entry responsibilities, the Enrollment Specialist may occasionally contact customers by phone to verify demographic information, clarify details, and resolve discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Enter participant and customer information accurately into enrollment, CRM, and related management systems.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records, including ongoing updates and changes to enrollment data.
- Review and verify participant information to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with enrollment requirements.
- Perform administrative support tasks related to benefits administration and insurance enrollment processing.
- Contact customers by phone when needed to verify demographic information, clarify data, and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and in accordance with privacy and security standards.
- Organize and manage enrollment documents, applications, and supporting materials in both electronic and paper formats.
- Complete applications and documents by hand when required, ensuring legible handwriting and accurate information.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely completion of enrollment activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and, when appropriate, insurance and benefits providers to support smooth enrollment processes.
- Use Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Outlook, to track, update, and communicate enrollment and customer information.
- Support customer service efforts by responding to inquiries related to enrollment, benefits, and record maintenance.
- Assist with project-related enrollment activities, contributing to organized and efficient implementation of enrollment initiatives.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in administrative support, customer service, enrollment, insurance, healthcare, data entry, or a closely related field preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and speed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Legible and neat handwriting, with the ability to accurately complete applications and documents by hand when needed.
- Comfort making occasional phone calls to customers to verify information and resolve discrepancies.
- Experience working with data, records, or enrollment information in an administrative or customer-focused setting.

Work Environment
This role operates in an office-based, administrative environment focused on enrollment and data management. The position involves extensive computer use for data entry, record maintenance, and communication, primarily through Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Outlook, as well as CRM or enrollment management systems. Work includes handling paper documents and applications, with some tasks requiring clear, legible handwriting to complete forms by hand. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring effective task prioritization and attention to detail. Weekend hours may be required during enrollment start-up periods, with typical shifts such as 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both weekend days, with some flexibility as needed. The role emphasizes professional conduct, secure handling of confidential information, and collaborative interaction with customers and internal teams.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richfield, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
