Job Description:

Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for leading manufacturing operations within the Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing departments to meet production schedules while ensuring quality products are produced in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position provides leadership and direction to departmental supervisors and team members, driving operational excellence, workforce development, continuous improvement, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

- Lead daily operations of the Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing departments to achieve safety, quality, production, and delivery goals.

- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to departmental supervisors to drive performance, accountability, and employee development.

- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining efficiency, productivity, and cost objectives.

- Monitor staffing, workflow, and production performance to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

- Promote and enforce company safety policies and ensure employees are properly trained for their assigned work.

- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues and improve operational performance.

- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to reduce defects, rework, and waste.

- Manage departmental performance to achieve budget, labor, and operational targets.

- Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, and departmental documentation.

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and employee engagement.

- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, teamwork, and leadership.

- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, and workplace efficiency.

- Support workforce planning, cross-training, succession planning, and staffing needs.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 5-8 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a high-volume production environment.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience managing supervisors, teams, or manufacturing operations.

- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

- Proven ability to drive results while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and employee development.

- Experience managing multiple departments, processes, or production areas preferred.

- Ability to analyze production data and make sound business decisions.

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles preferred.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation Range:
$74,600.00-117,260.00

*Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors
