Summary:
Assembler is responsible for assembling gear reducers, gearboxes, strainers and other drive components per information on work order. The assembler is responsible for testing units and troubleshooting problems associated with Assembly.
Description:
- Assemble gearboxes/reducers and Strainers to work order instructions
- Check work orders for accuracy.
- Visually check parts for quality.
- Test units for audible noises and leaks.
- Rework and correct any noise or leakage problems.
- Troubleshoot with engineering in the assembly and modification of custom drives and develop solutions
- Responsible for final assembly and approval upon completion of assembly in conjunction with engineering.
Tools Used:
- Mechanics hand and power tools.
- Precision measuring instruments.
- Lubricants, fixtures, templates, etc
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Familiarity with computer systems
- Previous assembly experience preferred.
- Mechanically Inclined
- Ability to read and write. Basic Math Skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand on feet for up to 8-10 hrs per day.
