Texell, named one of the BEST credit unions to work for in the NATION by the Credit Union Journal, is seeking a Payments Systems Specialist!
Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance & Payments, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, this position performs a broad range of functions within the Finance Department, with a primary focus on ATM and ESS balancing, ATM replenishment, ATM monitoring, ATM inspections, and ATM reconciliations. In addition, this position supports the Payment Specialist function as needed, including processing wire transfers, preparing daily cash letters, reviewing checks, and processing ACH transactions.
As an ATM/Payment Specialist you will:
- Prepare, review, and complete the daily Visa/ATM/ESS balancing process.
- Help facilitate the ATM replenishments, inspections, and ensure all machines are operating correctly
- Reconcile all ATM related general ledger accounts
- Take necessary steps to electronically receive, post and send all EFT and wire items to and from the Federal Reserve.
- Accurate and timely preparation of the Cash Letter for transport to the Federal Reserve.
- Update, generate, monitor, and complete the daily balancing of the Credit Union’s Federal Reserve account.
- Accurate and timely completion of research and reporting for all Federal Reserve adjustments.
- Check processing to include returned checks and review of remote deposit.
- Review and place necessary holds on ATM and mobile deposited checks.
- Provide innovative solutions to optimize efficiency and accuracy of payment workflows.
- Maintain knowledge of the evolving trends in the Payments Industry and changes in the Federal Reserve System for ACH, Wires, Check, and Cash Services.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a high school degree or GED.
- Six months to two years of financial institution or other related work experience.
- Previous experience with ATM management is preferred.
- Previous experience with ACH, Check, and/or Wire processing preferred.
- Positive attitude and a team first focus with an emphasis on providing outstanding service.
- Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime on a periodic basis.
