About the Position
We are hiring a Field Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair construction equipment throughout the Louisville market. This is a hands-on field position for a mechanic who can troubleshoot equipment, work independently, and take ownership when a machine goes down.

You will have your own company service truck that you can take home , giving you the ability to head directly into the field and take care of customers. Our Field Service Technicians are a huge part of the customer experience. When a piece of equipment stops working on a jobsite, you are the person representing ENCON. Your job is to figure out what is wrong, communicate clearly, make the repair when possible, and get that customer back to work.

You will work on a wide range of equipment including excavators, skid steers, compact track loaders, telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, trenchers, compaction equipment, generators, light towers, pumps, attachments, and more.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair equipment in the field
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service
- Work directly with customers on jobsites and keep them informed
- Identify needed parts and repairs
- Complete service records and work orders
- Work with our service, rental, fleet, and branch teams to keep customers moving

At the end of the day, the job is pretty simple: show up, figure it out, fix it right, and take care of the customer. We want technicians who can think for themselves, make good decisions, and take ownership of the work in front of them.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes pride in being good at his craft. You should be comfortable showing up to a jobsite, talking with the customer, evaluating the equipment, and starting the diagnostic process without needing someone to walk you through every step.You do not need to know every machine we own on day one. You do need to understand equipment, be willing to learn, and have the ability to work through problems.

Experience Required

- 3+ years of mechanic or equipment service experience preferred
- Experience with construction, rental, agricultural, industrial, or heavy equipment
- Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Rental industry experience is a plus, but it is not required. If you know equipment, know how to solve problems, and take care of customers, we want to talk to you.
