The Industrial Electrician is a key member of the Maintenance team at the Louisville, KY site, supporting the success of the Catalyst Business Unit. The main responsibility of the Industrial Electrician Person (Electrical/Instrumentation) is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the production systems and equipment by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical and instrumentation systems.
Responsibilities
- This position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, programming, and/or replacing plant instrumentation and controls equipment.
- This requires the ability to read, understand, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, schematics, part lists, and other written instructions.
- As part of the job, The person is expected to develop a materials list for projects, including tools, equipment, and parts. The person will also be required to use manlifts, forklifts, and any other related equipment needed to perform daily duties.
- The job involves daily use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP, PLC GE Machine Addition, and Simplicity programs.
- The person is also required to follow all Confined Space Entry, Lock Out/Tag Out, Hot Work, Fork Truck, Arc Flash, PPE, and other related programs to ensure a safe work environment.
- Participation in daily performance dialogue meetings and any other required team meetings is also expected to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Overall, The person in this job position plays a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of the plant instrumentation and controls equipment, which is essential for the overall success of the production process.
