Sr. Electrical Superintendent

Seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations across a strong pipeline of multifamily and commercial electrical projects. This is a broader operational leadership role for someone who wants ownership beyond a single jobsite, with direct access to company ownership and the opportunity to help shape how the business scales.

What You'll Do as the Electrical Superintendent:

- Oversee day-to-day field execution across multiple active electrical construction projects
- Plan manpower, allocate crews, and coordinate field resources based on project schedules and priorities
- Maintain visibility across active jobs, upcoming starts, staffing needs, customer commitments, and operational risks
- Set clear priorities and expectations for Foremen, Team Leads, Project Managers, and field personnel
- Lead regular operations and project meetings and keep ownership informed of critical issues
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes, schedules, budgets, and project requirements
- Monitor labor productivity, material usage, equipment costs, schedules, and overall project performance
- Visit jobsites regularly to evaluate production, workmanship, safety, staffing, and organization
- Identify potential problems early and drive corrective action before they affect schedules, margins, or customer relationships
- Coordinate with Project Managers and administrative teams on change orders, documentation, billing readiness, and closeout
- Ensure field teams have the drawings, materials, tools, equipment, and information needed to work efficiently
- Maintain quality standards and compliance with applicable electrical codes and inspection requirements
- Support jobsite safety, incident response, and corrective-action efforts
- Help resolve significant project, customer, and field-operation challenges
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning
- Mentor and develop Foremen, Team Leads, and other future leaders
- Improve operating processes, reporting, communication, and accountability as the company grows
- Help oversee company vehicles, tools, equipment, warehouse resources, and other operational assets
- Partner with ownership on capacity planning and longer-term growth initiatives

Must-Haves as the Electrical Superintendent:

- Strong electrical construction background with substantial field experience
- Proven experience leading electrical crews, field operations, and/or multiple concurrent projects
- Strong understanding of electrical construction execution, sequencing, and field productivity
- Experience with manpower planning and project scheduling
- Ability to read electrical plans, specifications, scopes, schedules, and related project documents
- Working knowledge of electrical codes, inspections, permits, and quality requirements
- Experience monitoring labor productivity, materials, and project costs
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple jobs and crews
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish expectations and hold teams accountable
- Ability to work independently and proactively address problems
- Strong communication skills with ownership, PMs, Foremen, employees, customers, GCs, and vendors
- Hands-on leadership style and willingness to maintain a regular jobsite presence
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Comfort with construction software, scheduling tools, mobile technology, and reporting systems
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work throughout the Kansas City Metro and Northeast Kansas market

Nice-to-Haves as the Electrical Superintendent:

- Multifamily electrical construction experience
- Previous General Superintendent or company-wide field operations responsibility
- Experience simultaneously overseeing several projects and field crews
- Electrical license
- Experience with estimating, budgeting, job costing, and change-order management
- Experience developing Foremen and other field leaders
- Experience helping a small or midsized electrical contractor scale its processes and operations
- Background working directly with entrepreneurial ownership
