Home Centre Manager

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach, and develop the Home Centre team to provide exceptional customer service.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staffing, merchandising, inventory, and customer service.
- Drive sales and profitability while achieving department goals and targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, members, vendors, and community partners.
- Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, stocked, and merchandised.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with suppliers to maintain appropriate product selection.
- Review sales results and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, safety standards, and loss-prevention practices are followed.
- Support recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development.
- Create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Participate in promotional planning and execution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Home Centre environment.
- Work collaboratively with other Central Plains Co-op locations and departments.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous retail, hardware, building materials, or Home Centre experience is an asset.
- Previous leadership or management experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong business, sales, and merchandising awareness.
- Comfortable working with inventory, sales, and financial information.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A commitment to safety and providing an exceptional customer experience.
