Heavy Commercial HVAC Technician

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, is seeking an experienced Heavy Commercial HVAC Technician to provide service throughout the Greater Houston area. Responsibilities

- Service, repair, start up, and install reciprocating, rotary, and centrifugal chillers of all tonnages.

- Service and retrofit HVAC equipment, ancillary systems, and building controls.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex airside, waterside, and control systems.

- Service, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on cooling tower systems.

- Conduct maintenance inspections according to the established scope of work.

- Clearly communicate equipment conditions, repair recommendations, and service updates to customers.

- Maintain accurate and timely service documentation.

- Follow all Hunton safety policies and applicable OSHA and EPA regulations

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum of five years of experience servicing Trane and other OEM equipment.

- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including airside, waterside, and controls.

- Experience with boilers and variable-frequency drives is preferred.

- EPA refrigerant certification required.

- Technical certifications and factory training are preferred.

- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

- Ability to establish trusted-advisor relationships with customers.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule; overtime may be required.

- Valid Texas drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

- Ability to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

- Work in confined spaces, mechanical rooms, and a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.

- Use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, gauges, and electronic devices.

- Bend, twist, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions.

- Work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, dust, and noise.

- See, hear, and communicate effectively to diagnose equipment issues and maintain safe operations.

- Safely operate a motor vehicle and travel to customer locations throughout the Greater Houston area.
