# Role Overview
The Technical Operation Engineer supports North American navigation software and telematics operations through end-to-end protocol testing and daily Device Farm management. This role maintains remote access to test devices, coordinates software and navigation updates, and serves as a technical point of contact for Hyundai affiliates, suppliers, content providers, and other partners. The engineer will manage testing activities from requirements through implementation, execute evaluations using indoor devices and vehicles, analyze results and issues, and support the introduction of new software releases, features, and content.
# Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain the Device Farm and connected test devices, including troubleshooting connectivity and operational issues.
- Update and manage system software and navigation software to current approved versions.
- Coordinate and train outsourced resources supporting Device Farm operations and testing activities.
- Manage automated user interface test cases, create new UI automation scenarios, and analyze test results.
- Analyze navigation software specifications, client/server communication protocols, and test cases provided by Korea headquarters.
- Adapt Korea-based test cases for U.S. locations and North American operating conditions.
- Execute end-to-end navigation software test cases for client/server protocol communication.
- Reproduce and evaluate navigation software voice-of-customer issues and document findings.
- Develop test plans with Korea headquarters and manage testing procedures through completion.
- Prepare test cases and test reports for indoor device, Device Farm, and vehicle-based evaluations.
- Monitor automotive technology developments and help identify potential software features and content opportunities.
- Escalate issues outside the role’s scope when needed to address business requirements.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent technical experience.
- Two to four years of experience in the automotive technology industry.
- Experience in telematics testing or a network-related field.
- Hands-on experience with automotive testing, telematics, protocol analysis, log analysis, test-case development, and test reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to work independently on moderately difficult assignments and exercise sound judgment when resolving issues or making recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working for an automotive Tier 1 supplier.
- Experience working with large organizations, preferably automotive companies, software manufacturers, or content suppliers.
- Korean language proficiency.
- ISTQB certification.
- CCNA certification.

Salary Range: $63,380 - $90,629
