## Job Purpose

The Simulation & Test Electrical Design Engineer will work in our Advanced Systems Integration Test Facility (ASITF) and be responsible for authoring and maintaining electrical drawings for new Avionics & Electrical systems and associated components, which include Avionics data busses, power systems, sensors and analog and digital I/O. Responsibilities also include design and troubleshooting of test simulation hardware and wire harnesses for the facility. These designs will include test and simulation interfaces to capture and/or simulate either actual aircraft hardware or models in the loop. These facilities support the design, development integration, certification, and support of aircraft avionics, electrical and electronic systems. Designs, develops, coordinates, equipment, and Installations, to support Test operations. Creates engineering drawings and related documents for soundness, efficiency, and simplicity in design; completeness, clarity, and dimensional accuracy; correctness of materials and processes; conformity to design/drafting standards, design specifications, and practicability; and economy of fabrication, assembly, and installation. Independently applies engineering principles and professional judgment to develop technical solutions, perform analyses, make design decisions, and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision.

## Key Accountabilities

- Develop and implement electrical integration and test solutions for ASITF.
- Applies engineering principles and independent judgment to evaluate, develop, and implement solutions for complex technical issues affecting electrical system design, documentation, procurement, fabrication, installation, and test integration activities
- Document engineering analyses, technical decisions, design solutions, and project activities to support system integration, certification, configuration management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

## Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

- Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, or relevant ASITF or aircraft experience at least 5-10 years
- Minimum Experience Degree or 5-10 years directly related experience with aircraft systems test, wiring design, and advanced troubleshooting.
- PLM System (Teamcenter) strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in JIRA Database.
- Proficient in MS Visio.
- Experience with aircraft systems. Experience with Aircraft Systems Test and Simulation. Experience in drafting, reviewing and modifying electrical drawings.
- Experience in the creation and maintenance of aircraft systems integration design drawings, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and electrical harness drawings. Knowledgeable of wire harness fabrication practices per Aerospace and Mil-Spec Standards. Experience with electrical test tools such as oscilloscopes, digital meters, and circuit analyzers is expected. Proficiency in CAD designs and 2D electrical drawings. Excellent analytical skills.

- Occasionally incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
- Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
- Effectively communicate in Business English language.
- Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
- Occasionally incumbents may need to pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided "reach assistance technology" or "movement assist technology" (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly's, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
- No travel is expected for this role. 10. Role may include overtime hours at management discretion.
