About this role
Build the demand engine for Acuity’s next stage of growth.
Acuity Insights is entering a new stage of growth. We’ve spent years building products used by higher education programs to make important decisions about who enters their programs and how learners are supported once they get there. Today, established products are evolving, newer products are being commercialized, and we’re exploring how to reach new audiences and markets.
As our Senior Growth Marketing Manager , you’ll help turn that opportunity into demand.
You’re not walking into a blank slate, and you’re not inheriting a finished playbook. You’ll have enough foundation to move quickly and enough room to bring your own experience, ideas, and point of view to what comes next.
You’ll have working campaigns, a strong webinar program, recurring prospect communications, established cross-functional partners, and improving data and measurement capabilities to build from.
You’ll also have real whitespace. Nurture is a capability we need to build. International demand generation is largely unexplored. And we want you to bring the AI practices you’re already using in Growth Marketing to help accelerate our adoption, from campaign development and content repurposing to research, testing, and analysis. Across all of it, we want to get much better at understanding what creates qualified pipeline and contributes to revenue.
You’ll be our only dedicated Growth Marketer, working hands-on across strategy and execution while surrounded by partners across Marketing and our broader Growth organization. This opportunity will suit you particularly well if you like getting close to the business, figuring out where marketing can have the greatest commercial impact, and turning that judgment into action.
Before you apply: This is full-time, 16-month fixed-term employment covering an upcoming parental leave, open to candidates based anywhere in Canada. The start date is early November 2026. You’ll work remotely within Canada with access to employee benefits including healthcare coverage, paid time off, and a learning and development budget.
Thoughtful use of AI is welcome. If you use it to support your application, please make sure it helps communicate your experience clearly and accurately. Authenticity and originality will help you stand out.
The Work You’ll Do
You’ll start with Acuity’s company-wide onboarding program, building context on our business, products, customers, and how we work. From there, you’ll go deeper into Marketing and our broader Growth organization, getting close to the campaigns, data, priorities, relationships, and rhythms that shape Growth Marketing today.
As you ramp, you’ll take increasing ownership of demand generation across our product portfolio, with the context and relationships you need to make good decisions and move independently.
Take ownership of demand generation
You’ll set and run our quarterly demand-generation plans, deciding how Growth Marketing can best contribute to our commercial priorities and where to focus across competing opportunities.
That means moving comfortably between strategy and execution: identifying the audiences and opportunities worth pursuing, choosing the right channels and tactics, building and launching the work, measuring what happens, and using what you learn to decide what comes next.
You’ll have autonomy to bring your own judgment and experience to the work, while staying closely connected to the business priorities, product developments, and customer insights that should shape it.
Turn product momentum into demand
You’ll work across a portfolio at different stages of maturity. Casper and One45 are established products with deep roots in higher education, with One45 now evolving into its next chapter. Video Interviews and Professional Skills Development are newer solutions we’re actively commercializing.
Working with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Business Development, you’ll translate product positioning, market insight, customer needs, and commercialization priorities into demand-generation strategies that reach the right audiences and give them a reason to engage.
You’ll gather context, develop a point of view about how Growth Marketing can contribute, recommend an approach, and carry it into market.
Build demand across the funnel
You’ll architect, execute, and optimize integrated campaigns across the channels that make sense for the audience and opportunity, including paid media, email, web, content, prospect communications, and new approaches worth testing.
You’ll continue building on a webinar program that has shown strong potential for generating qualified demand, owning the Growth Marketing motion end-to-end from audience and promotion strategy through registration, follow-up, and measurement.
And you’ll build and evolve nurture programs beyond their current state: developing more intentional journeys for different audiences and verticals, identifying useful triggers and segmentation, and creating paths that help accelerate leads toward sales readiness.
Get closer to what actually drives growth
You’ll help us become much more disciplined about asking: What worked? What generated qualified demand? What progressed into pipeline? What contributed to revenue? And what should we do differently next time?
Using HubSpot, campaign data, and our evolving business intelligence capabilities, you’ll look beyond surface-level engagement metrics to understand how Growth Marketing contributes further down the funnel.
You’ll establish stronger measurement rhythms, test targeting and messaging, compare performance across campaigns and channels, and use what you learn to make better decisions about where we invest our time and budget.
You won’t control every downstream revenue outcome, but you’ll understand the connection between your work and the commercial funnel and take accountability for continuously improving that contribution.
Put AI to work in Growth Marketing
You’ll bring AI practices that are already part of your toolkit and help us apply them meaningfully at Acuity. That could include campaign development, research, content creation and repurposing, nurture, experimentation, and analysis, as well as use cases we haven’t identified yet.
The goal isn’t AI for its own sake. It’s finding practical ways to reduce manual work, get more leverage from what we create, improve quality and speed, and make better decisions. When something works, you’ll help turn it into a practice the broader team can learn from and continue using.
Test how we generate demand internationally
As Acuity expands its international reach, you’ll help us learn how our demand-generation approach translates into priority market including Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), UK and Ireland.
Working with partners across Growth, you’ll develop and run a focused demand-generation pilot in one of these markets. You’ll help determine the audience, messaging, channels, and measures of success, then use what happens in this market to build an evidence-based point of view about what we should test, change, or invest in next.
Who You’ll Work With, and How
You’ll report to our Director of Marketing and join a Marketing function that includes Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, Customer Marketing, Events Marketing, Content and Communications.
You’ll be our dedicated Growth Marketing expert. That means bringing your own expertise while knowing how to draw on the expertise around you.
Sales and Business Development will be particularly important partners. They’re close to prospective customers every day and can help you understand the problems buyers are talking about, the language they use, what resonates, where opportunities are stalling, and what they’re hearing in the higher education market.
You’ll collaborate with Customer Success to dig deeper into buyer insights, source speakers for virtual events, understand expansion opportunities, and amplify post-event follow-up.
Your job is to listen closely, connect those insights with what you know about demand generation, and turn them into a point of view and a plan. Collaboration here doesn’t mean waiting for consensus or for someone else to tell you what campaign to run.
You’ll work closely with Product Marketing to understand positioning, value propositions, audiences, and product messaging, then translate that foundation into campaigns and experiences designed for the people we want to reach.
Within Marketing, you’ll collaborate with Customer Marketing, Events Marketing, Communications, Marketing Operations, and Creative teams to bring campaigns, customer proof points, thought leadership, webinars, and other experiences to life.
And with RevOps, you’ll strengthen the connection between marketing activity, lead progression, pipeline, and revenue so what we learn can shape what we do next.
You won’t need to know everything yourself. You will need to know your craft, build strong relationships, ask good questions, make recommendations, and keep things moving.
The Impact You’ll Have
Over the course of your time with us, you’ll help build a stronger and more scalable demand-generation engine. Your impact will show up in:
- Greater commercial accountability. We’ll have clearer visibility into which campaigns, channels, audiences, and messages are creating qualified demand, progressing into pipeline, and contributing to revenue.
- A stronger nurture capability. We’ll have more intentional journeys for different audiences and verticals, giving promising demand more opportunities to progress toward sales readiness.
- Stronger commercialization. Professional Skills Development, Video Interviews, and the continued evolution of One45 will have focused demand-generation strategies supporting their growth in market.
- A more connected event-to-demand engine. Webinars and virtual events will connect more intentionally to follow-up, nurture, pipeline progression, and what we learn from each program.
- AI practices that create real leverage. We’ll have practical, proven ways of using AI to improve how Growth Marketing researches, creates, experiments, analyzes, and gets more from the work we produce.
- Evidence to inform international growth. We’ll have real market learnings from demand-generation experimentation in a priority international market, giving us a stronger foundation for what to test or invest in next.
Across all of it, you’ll help us make growth decisions with more evidence and confidence, while leaving the demand engine stronger than you found it.
How You’ll Succeed Here
There’s no single profile for success in this role. But the person who thrives here will probably recognize themselves in a few things.
You think commercially.
Campaign activity is interesting to you because of what happens next. You want to understand whether people engaged, whether they became qualified opportunities, whether pipeline moved, and what that tells you about where to invest next.
You bring a point of view.
You listen to Sales, Business Development, Product, customer insights, market data,, but you don’t need everyone else to design the answer for you. You synthesize what you’ve learned, make recommendations, and move the work forward proactively.
You know how to create momentum with what you have.
You don’t need a huge budget, a large team, or a perfectly established playbook before you can make progress. You’re resourceful about figuring out what matters most, where to focus, and what you can build, test, or improve with the resources around you.
You’re genuinely hands-on.
You move fluidly between planning and doing, comfortably zooming out to set campaign strategy or diving into an ad platform, webinar plan, landing page, or email flow to make it real. You don't need a large team around you to move work forward. You can inherit something that already works, respect what has been built, and still see where it could become better.
You experiment with purpose.
You’re willing to try something new, but experimentation isn’t throwing ideas at a wall. You start with a hypothesis, look at what happened, learn from it, and decide whether to iterate, scale, or stop.
You use AI as part of your craft.
You’ve moved beyond simply being curious about AI. You’re already using it in your work, learning where it creates leverage, where human judgment matters, and how it can help you move faster or produce better work.
You’re comfortable making choices.
You've worked in environments where priorities evolve and the playbook isn't always complete. You bring structure, judgment, and a bias toward action while staying focused on measurable business impact.
Experience That Will Help You Hit the Ground Running
We care more about what you’ve actually owned, built, learned, and improved.
You’ll likely bring experience:
- Owning B2B demand generation with accountability for qualified leads, pipeline, and commercial outcomes, ideally in SaaS or another complex B2B environment.
- Personally designing, launching, measuring, and optimizing integrated campaigns across channels such as paid media, email, web, content, nurture, and virtual events.
- Bringing a new product or meaningful product development to market and building demand around it.
- Independently planning and executing webinars or other virtual events end to end, including content strategy, speaker sourcing, promotion, event flow, live execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Using marketing and funnel data to evaluate performance, identify patterns, make investment decisions, and understand how marketing activity contributes to pipeline and revenue.
- Building or significantly improving nurture programs, segmentation, automation flows, and recurring prospect communications using HubSpot or similar platforms.
- Partnering closely with Sales and Product Marketing to turn customer, market, and product insight into effective demand-generation strategies.
- Using AI meaningfully in your day-to-day marketing work to improve the quality, speed, analysis, or scale of what you produce.
Experience generating demand outside North America, particularly in Australia/New Zealand or the UK/Ireland, would be valuable as we begin testing our approach in these markets.
And if you’ve previously been the only Growth Marketer, or one of very few, you’ll bring particularly relevant experience for the level of ownership this role offers.
How We Support You
- Transparent compensation. A salary between $110,000–$135,000 CAD, aligned to role scope, experience, and internal equity.
- Learning that grows with you. A $3,000 annual learning budget to invest in your development, to deepen your expertise, build new skills, or explore new areas of interest.
- Remote-first work. Fully remote within Canada, with up to six weeks per year to work internationally.
- Time to rest and reset. Self-directed vacation (most teammates take 4–6 weeks annually), monthly Acuity Days (a collective Friday off), plus a two-week company-wide closure each December.
- Comprehensive care. Health benefits from day one for you and your dependents.
What Happens After You Apply
We review every application carefully and don’t use AI to evaluate candidates, though you may be automatically screened out if you don’t meet baseline requirements such as Canadian residency and valid work authorization. AI may support note-taking in some interviews, but people make every evaluation and hiring decision.
Our interviews are two-way conversations: a chance for us to understand your experience and what you’re looking for, and for you to get to know Acuity, the role, and the people you’d work with. The process typically takes 2–4 weeks from first conversation to final decision.
Steps in the Process
- Application Review. A member of our Talent team reviews your application.
- Intro Conversation. You’ll meet with a member of our Talent team to explore your experience, what you’re looking for next, and learn more broadly about Acuity Insights and the opportunity.
- Conversation with the Manager. You’ll meet our Director of Marketing to dig into the growth work you’ve owned, the decisions you’ve made, and the results. If you have something you can share, we’ll invite you to bring an example of real work you’re proud of so we can explore how you approached it and what you learned.
- Team Conversations. You’ll meet a few of the people you’d work with closely to explore how you collaborate, solve problems, and move work forward, while getting a better feel for what working together would be like.
- Decision. We bring together feedback from your conversations and typically make a decision within 2–4 business days.
- Offer & Reference Checks. If it’s a match, we’ll move to references and a formal offer.
Life at Acuity Insights
We’re a remote-first team of 135+ people, built around trust, flexibility, and giving people meaningful ownership of their work.
Remote-first doesn’t mean working in isolation. We collaborate closely across teams, communicate thoughtfully across time zones, and create intentional opportunities to connect, while protecting the flexibility and focus that make remote work valuable.
Day to day, you can expect:
- High trust and autonomy in how you get your work done
- Thoughtful, async-friendly communication across a distributed team
- Space for focused work alongside intentional collaboration and connection
- Colleagues who are generous with their expertise and expect you to bring yours
- A sustainable approach to work that values impact over performative busyness
As we grow, we’re deliberate about evolving how we work without adding process for process’s sake. We want people to have the clarity, context, relationships, and room to make good decisions and do work they’re proud of.
About Acuity Insights
Acuity Insights builds products that help higher education institutions make better decisions about people, from admissions through to development.
Our work is grounded in a simple idea: that people are more than their grades, and that potential can be understood and developed, not just measured.
Our Casper situational judgment test (SJT), created by researchers at McMaster University, has been completed by over 1 million applicants and is one of the most widely used open-response SJTs in higher education, backed by nearly 20 years of research.
Today, we are evolving our products to better connect assessment, insight, and development, helping institutions not just identify potential, but actively support its growth over time. As part of that evolution, we’re increasingly building toward a more connected ecosystem across assessment, education, and learner development. While teams remain focused on their individual products, we’re creating stronger connections across our platform to deliver more cohesive experiences for institutions and learners.
