In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.

Laundry Attendant Helper

Laundry Attendant Helper will support daily laundry operations on a mine site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens, uniforms, and personal clothing while maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, sort, and load laundry (linens, towels, uniforms, clothing) for washing according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.

- Operate washing machines, dryers and other laundry equipment

- Inspect items for stains or damage before and after cleaning; treat stains as needed

- Fold, iron, or press cleaned items, and store or deliver them to the appropriate departments or areas.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area, including wiping down machines and disposing oflint and debris.

- Keep an inventory of linens, laundry chemicals, and supplies; report low stock or equipment malfunction

- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards in handling and processing laundry

- Label and track personal laundry item

- Assist in maintaining laundry logs or records, as required.

Qualifications/Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or cleaning role (preferred but not essential)

- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and cleanliness

- Experience working in remote camps, hotels, hospitals, etc would be an asset

Working Conditions

Position based at the OKO Project site.
Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off
Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.

Compensation Package

1-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation.
