Key Responsibilities

In this opportunity as a Sales Development Representative, you will:

- Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting activities, including phone, email, and digital engagement.
- Identify customer needs, business challenges, and potential opportunities within target accounts.
- Build, develop, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through a structured prospecting approach.
- Partner closely with Account Executives to align sales strategies, coordinate outreach efforts, and maximize pipeline generation.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and route them to the appropriate sales resources.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales development targets and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospecting activities, opportunities, and customer interactions within CRM and sales tools.
- Develop a strong understanding of Thomson Reuters products and solutions to effectively communicate business value to prospective customers.
- Collaborate with Training, Marketing, and Account Management teams to support overall business objectives and customer engagement strategies.

Required Qualifications

You’re a fit for the role of Sales Development Representative if you have the following required qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, prospecting, lead generation, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and influence stakeholders through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and establish credibility quickly.
- Ability to confidently handle objections and navigate challenging conversations.
- Experience working in quota-driven environments with measurable performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including experience using CRM systems and sales technology tools.
- Availability to work schedules that align with U.S. customer business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in software, SaaS, technology, or subscription-based sales environments.
- Experience prospecting and selling into the U.S. market.
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies and outbound prospecting best practices.
- Demonstrated success building and managing sales pipelines in a high-performance sales organization.
- Experience leveraging sales engagement platforms, CRM systems, and AI-enabled sales tools to improve productivity and results.
