Global Procurement Manager- Maxwell

What you will do-

As Global Procurement Manager for Maxwell, you will play a key role in developing and executing procurement strategies that support business growth, operational performance, innovation, and supply continuity across the global Maxwell organization.

This leader will manage complex supplier relationships and sourcing activities across a broad portfolio that may include direct materials, electronics and components, contract manufacturing, capital equipment, tooling, services, and other business-critical spend. The manager will analyze technical, commercial, financial, and market data to drive fact-based sourcing decisions, develop forward-looking supply and demand strategies, and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships.

How you will do it-

- Develop and execute global category and sourcing strategies aligned with Maxwell business objectives, growth plans, technology roadmaps, and operational requirements.

• Manage strategic supplier relationships across a broad procurement portfolio, including direct materials, electronics and components, contract manufacturing, capital equipment, tooling, services, and other critical spend categories.

• Create and maintain 3-5 year category strategies, supplier roadmaps, and sourcing plans that support cost competitiveness, innovation, supply continuity, and business growth.

• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, supplier selection, negotiations, and award recommendations in partnership with key business stakeholders.

• Negotiate commercial terms, supply agreements, long-term agreements, technology partnerships, service contracts, and other procurement arrangements.

• Drive supplier productivity, cost reduction, total cost of ownership, working capital, payment term, and value-engineering initiatives.

• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Program Management, Supply Chain, and regional procurement teams to translate business requirements into effective sourcing strategies.

• Support new product introductions, manufacturing expansions, capacity changes, localization initiatives, and other strategic programs by securing competitive and capable supply solutions.

• Develop market intelligence and cost models to understand industry trends, supplier economics, commodity and raw material drivers, technology changes, capacity, and competitive dynamics.

• Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, innovation, sustainability, service, and execution, and lead improvement actions where required.

• Identify and manage supply risks including geopolitical exposure, capacity constraints, financial health, commodity inflation, logistics disruption, technology obsolescence, and single-source dependencies.

• Develop and implement risk mitigation, dual-sourcing, localization, and business continuity strategies where appropriate.

• Partner with suppliers to identify innovation, design-to-value, process improvement, and productivity opportunities that strengthen Maxwell competitiveness.

• Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, approval requirements, contractual standards, and responsible procurement expectations.

• Prepare business cases, sourcing recommendations, financial analyses, and executive-level presentations to support key procurement decisions and approvals.

• Participate in cross-functional and enterprise initiatives related to operational excellence, digital procurement, sustainability, supply chain resilience, and continuous improvement.

What we look for -

Required

• 5-8 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related function, preferably within a global manufacturing environment.

• Experience developing sourcing strategies and managing suppliers across one or more procurement categories such as direct materials, electronics and components, contract manufacturing, capital equipment, tooling, or services.

• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders across global supply markets, including Asia, the Americas, and/or Europe.

• Understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain dynamics, cost structures, and key commercial drivers.

• Ability to analyze commodity, raw material, technology, labor, logistics, and other market factors that influence total cost and supply risk.

• Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
