Description:
The position is responsible for performing anti-money laundering (“AML”) and other financial crime analysis. The position provides data and systems support and performs ad hoc tasks/projects to aid in ensuring compliance. Performs know your customer, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, customer identification, OFAC and other procedures. Conducts extensive investigations and wide-ranging research using subscription services, internal systems and internet search engines. Analyzes and correlates behavioral and transaction patterns, research findings, and other relevant information to help management draw conclusions. Completes analysis and reports, including the filing of reports, in a timely manner with accuracy and completeness. Prepares and reviews suspicious activity narratives and reports. Prepares other reports, profiles and supporting documentation (e.g., work programs, findings and results) ensuring that such documentation contains sufficient, competent, and relevant evidential matter. Serves as a front line resource and escalation point for AML and financial crime detection and reporting. Advises the Director of Compliance in a timely manner of relevant findings, especially those affecting compliance or involving high-risk guests, transactions or situations. Trains and transfers knowledge to other Compliance Team Members. Creates manuals, guides, programs and other procedural or instructional material. Analyzes current processes and procedures and implements or recommends improvements, as appropriate. Assists in monitoring of and reporting on the effectiveness of compliance operations. Ensures documentation is properly organized and maintained. Maintains work areas in an organized and neat manner. Performs ad hoc tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
One (1) year of AML or analytical experience. Casino AML experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, criminal justice or information technology, from an accredited college/university or two (2) years of experience where the primary job function was AML. Current CAMS, CFE, CPA or CIA preferred. Highly proficient with computer software, including Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word) and an intermediate understanding of how to organize and query data. Relational database, LexisNexis, advanced internet searches and NEWave experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with Team Members, management, and internal and external (e.g., examiners and vendors) guests. Ability to organize, summarize and succinctly communicate the relevancy of findings to management. Self-motivated, well-organized, ability to prioritize and efficiently perform multiple tasks in a timely manner. Ability to work independently and in small groups without direct supervision.
