Freedom Home Care is looking for compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes throughout Owatonna and surrounding communities.

We currently have caregiving opportunities available in Owatonna, Faribault, Kenyon, and surrounding communities , including:

- Owatonna: Tuesday & Friday | 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

- Faribault: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & every other Sunday | 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

- Kenyon – PRN: Day shifts available

At Freedom Home Care, our caregivers provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Home care gives you the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities are based on each client's individual care plan and may include:

- Personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

- Mobility, transfers, and ambulation

- Meal preparation

- Medication reminders

- Light housekeeping and laundry

- Transportation and errands

- Companionship and activities

- Dementia and memory-care support

- Safety supervision

- Completing required care documentation

- Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition

- Helping clients maintain as much independence as possible

What We're Looking For

We're looking for caregivers who are:

- Compassionate, patient, and respectful

- Dependable and committed to their scheduled shifts

- Professional and responsive

- Comfortable working independently in a client's home

- Comfortable assisting with personal care

- Able to follow an individualized care plan

- Able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the Freedom Home Care team

Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required for all opportunities. CNA certification is a plus but is not required unless specified for a particular client assignment.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must:

- Be at least 16 years of age

- Have a valid driver's license

- Have their own reliable personal vehicle

- Maintain current auto insurance

- Meet Freedom Home Care's driving record requirements

- Successfully complete a Minnesota DHS background study

- Meet required TB screening requirements

- Be willing to travel to client homes within our service area, generally up to a 30-mile radius

- Be dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts

- Be able to meet the physical requirements of assigned client care

A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and current auto insurance are required for this position.

Scheduling Opportunities

Because home care is based on individual client needs, schedules may include:

- Day shifts

- Evening shifts

- Weekend shifts

- Awake overnight shifts

- 2-hour short shifts — $22/hr Monday–Friday and $24/hr Saturday & Sunday

- Split shifts

- PRN/fill-in opportunities

- Live-in caregiving opportunities

Available hours and schedules vary based on current client needs.
