IWM rolls up to Nomura’s Wholesale division along with Global Markets (GM) and Investment Banking (IBD).

Business Overview:
This particular role is within the IWM Lending and Credit Solutions (LCS) team that is being newly set-up. The LCS team in Powai is an extension of the Global LCS team, a key business product vertical of IWM AeJ. The Global LCS team works closely with Relationship Managers (RMs), Investment and Product Solutions (IPS) team and Control functions to originate, structure and execute financing transactions for IWM clients globally.

Position Specifications:
Corporate Title Analyst / Associate
Functional Title Analyst / Associate – Lending & Credit Solutions
Experience 1 – 7 years of relevant experience
Qualification MBA (Finance) / CFA (US) / CA preferred

Role & Responsibilities:
 We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the IWM LCS team, based in Powai.
 The individual will be reporting to the Head of LCS and working closely with the LCS team, RMs, IPS team, Control functions in Singapore/Hong Kong to facilitate and manage IWM’s loan book growth.
 The day-to-day responsibilities would include originating, structuring and executing financing transactions for high networth (HNW) and ultra-high networth (UHNW) clients of IWM.
 Daily tasks would include working with the Singapore/Hong Kong teams for:
o Origination:
- Participate in internal client reviews / portfolio analysis for identifying financing opportunities based on client KYC / RM discussions
- Marketing IWM’s financing capabilities to RMs
- Building the lending pipeline for discussion with internal control functions
o Structuring & Execution:
- Working closely with Global LCS team / RMs to structure financing solutions
- Participating in internal discussions and preparing term sheets for clients
- Preparing credit memos/analysis for internal discussion and approvals
- Working on legal documentation for client execution
o Marketing:
- Being an ambassador for lending to market the product offering to RMs
- Participate / conduct lending specific training to increase credit/lending awareness of the IWM franchise and improve loan penetration within the IWM book
o Platform / Process Enhancements:
- Be actively involved in designing processes for productivity improvements and improving lending sales management practices of the LCS team
Key Skills:
Mandatory Desired Domain
 Sound knowledge of financial analysis for corporates from an equity analyst OR credit analyst perspective
 Good clarity of thought, effective communication skills, sound presentation skills
 Strong analytical skills, team oriented, flexible, hungry to learn, diligent and self-motivated
 Collaborative mindset, respectful attitude and ability to work under pressure and tight timelines, if required
 Familiar with regional / international financial markets, legal / regulatory frameworks
 Good understanding of credit processes of the wealth management business
 Independent decision-maker, ability to support / defend financing structures
