Division Overview :

Nomura International Wealth Management have more than 50 years of experience delivering value to our high net worth clients in Asia. Nomura IWM have access to both global and regional investment opportunities across multiple asset classes - fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. IWM will take advantage of Nomura’s research-based advice, strong execution capabilities and bespoke solutions that leverage our global expertise in Global Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management and other affiliates.

IWM rolls up to Nomura’s Wholesale division along with Global Markets (GM) and Investment Banking (IBD).

Business Unit Overview:

This particular role is within the IWM Investment Products and Services (IPS) team that is being newly set-up. It will house a group of highly skilled individuals who will help in generation of trade ideas and research behind it, analysis of portfolios and assist Relationship Managers (RMs) and clients in pricing the trade etc.

R ole & Responsibilities:

The Investment Products and Services team will have to work primarily with the Product Specialists, Investment Advisors and Relationship Managers based out of multiple regions (HK/SG/DIFC) and work on

- Research: All analysts within the team are assigned their coverage. Analysts are expected to conduct comprehensive credit research on sectors

- Content: Generation of content on new trade ideas pertaining to rates and credit asset classes

- Advisory : Assist the RM/IAs with product advisory to meet specific client needs

- Identify new thematics and shortlisting of fixed income securities in line with investing themes

- Pricing Queries/RFQs: Assisting the onshore teams with pricing queries on cash bonds and structured products

- Analysis of clients’ portfolio on a periodic basis and assist desk/IA/RMs for the same

- Work on processes, system enhancement and optimization initiatives

- Experience in fundamental credit analysis and basics of technical analysis.

- Experience in macroeconomic analysis.

- Basic programming skills [Python preferably].

- A strong passion for investing and research

- Proficiency with fixed income functions in Bloomberg

- CFA L-2 appearing/cleared candidates preferred

- Working with Global Markets Research, third party research reports, S&P and Moody’s ratings reports etc.

- Strong leadership skills

- Strong communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively as part of the team but also operate independently in effective manner

- Strong work ethics

- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
