Senior Engineer - Design COE EV

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Gear Design & Development

Design and develop gear trains for EV reducers, e-axles, and hybrid transmission systems (SHEV)

Perform detailed design of:

Helical Gears,Spur Gears,Planetary Gear sets,Differential Gears,Shafts and related transmission components

Conduct gear sizing, ratio selection, strength calculations, and micro-geometry optimization.

Develop transmission concepts considering efficiency, NVH, packaging, durability, and manufacturability.

Analysis & Validation

Perform gear design calculations in accordance with:

ISO 6336,AGMA standards,DIN standards.

Conduct:

Gear strength analysis,Contact stress analysis,Bending fatigue analysis,Scuffing and micropitting assessments

Support NVH optimization through gear micro-geometry modifications and tolerance stack-up analysis.

knowledge on Gear testing like Single flank, dual flank tester ,EOL NVH limit setting.

Worked closely with CAE teams for FEA, Mechanical, and durability evaluations.

Qualifications

B.Tech / M.Tech / Diploma Engineers

General Requirements

•Gear design calculations as per ISO 6336 / AGMA.
•Experience with gear design software such as: KISSsoft & KISSsys,Romax ,Masta (preferred)
•CAD proficiency in NX, 3D experience
•Understanding of: Bearings, Shafts, Differential systems, Lubrication systems, Transmission NVH
•Strong understanding of:

Gear theory and design fundamentals

Gear manufacturing processes

Heat treatment methods

Transmission layouts and architectures
