Internship - Equipment Integration & Automation Engineer

The student will join the Equipment Integration & Automation team and work under the guidance of a dedicated mentor for a period of 5–6 months. During the internship, the student will gain hands-on experience and contribute to the development of an automated equipment software deployment solution, with the objective of improving deployment efficiency, consistency, and reliability. The internship will provide the student with practical exposure to programming, automation, software testing, troubleshooting, and equipment integration, enabling the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world manufacturing and engineering challenges. The student will also collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, gaining valuable industry exposure and developing a deeper understanding of equipment automation, software integration, and semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

- Tester Integration (TEC): Learn the fundamentals of tester and equipment integration and understand how TEC supports equipment operation within the manufacturing environment.
- Automation Application Development: Develop an application to automate TEC software deployment, improving deployment efficiency and reducing manual activities.
- Software Testing & Validation: Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the developed solution is reliable and suitable for production use.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Prepare technical documentation, user guidelines, and share the developed solution with the team to support future implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

- Education: Currently studying in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, preferably in the 3rd or 4th year of study.
- Programming & Technical Skills: Basic programming knowledge in languages such as Python, C#, C/C++, or similar, with a strong interest in software development, automation, and equipment integration.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical issues and develop practical, effective solutions.
- Advantageous Skills: Basic knowledge of software deployment, networking, databases, version control systems like Git, or manufacturing automation would be an added advantage.
