Role Overview:
· As a Database administrator, you will have overall responsibility for our databases infrastructure.
· Centiro has a flat organization with short decision-making ways where you as a coworker can influence your everyday life.
· You will be part of a team with mixed skills whose responsibility is daily operation, problem solving, analysis and design.
· Your role as database administrator will be central to the operation of our systems.
· Having experience of infrastructure management and managing servers in on-prem Data Centers, Azure and Google and able to manage & patch the servers and troubleshoot as and when required would be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
· Performance optimization and trend analysis.
· Daily operations and manage existing databases
· Maintain and develop routines for operating database servers
· Manage updates to new versions of SQL Server and MongoDB
· Automate existing routines for more efficient management
· Manage database permissions and security aspects of database management
· Investigate and resolve database related issues/problems
· Manage high availability, RTO/RPO and retention of data
Who are you?
· We are looking for a talent with at least 4 years of technical experience and experience in SQL Server & MongoDB Server, with knowledge about:
o Windows clusters, availability groups and log shipping, installation, upgrading, and migrating
SQL Server
o Indexing, index management, statistics, integrity checks, configuration, and patching
o Windows & Linux Server, SQL Server & MongoDB, and the Transact-SQL query language
o Working experience on MongoDB (mandatory)
o Working knowledge on Devops (preferred)
o Working knowledge on Cloud - Azure, Google cloud (mandatory)
o Working knowledge on Backup and Restore methodology - Database + Server (mandatory)
o Proactive with analysing database environment health utilizing monitoring tools
o Query tuning & performance optimization (preferred)
o Work closely with developers and assist them with providing query tuning recommendations
o Ability to create scripts in PowerShell or other language
o Experience with virtualization platforms, e.g. Hyper-V and/or VMware is a plus.
o Experience in managing infrastructure on Azure & Google is a plus.
