Job Overview:
Arm is leading the vision to unlock a broad ecosystem of silicon required for AI, Data centers, mobile, compute and IoT. As a member of Solution engineering team you will be delivering optimized design flow, methodology, and full CAD solution for industry leading compute subsystem and SoCs. We are seeking outstanding expertise in algorithms and automation specifically tailored for meticulous optimization of power, performance, area, signoff and silicon quality. The role brings opportunity to collaborate with foundry, EDA and ecosystem partners in 3nm/2nm technodes and multi-die.
The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining reliable and scalable software solutions. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into high-quality software while following engineering best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and tools.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Develop automation to improve engineering productivity and reduce manual processes.
- Debug complex software, system, and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and best practices.
- Design and maintain APIs, databases, command-line tools, and supporting infrastructure as required.
- Build automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Use Git and established CI/CD workflows for software development and delivery.
- Monitor software reliability and improve performance, scalability, and robustness.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate new technologies and improve existing software architecture and development processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, TCL, C/C++ .
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, Git, debugging, scripting, and automation .
- Understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, containers.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and development lifecycle practices.
Nice To Have Skills and Experience :
Working knowledge of agentic workflow models from OpenAI and Claude. Experience with RTL synthesis tools, process technology design rules, STA, and power estimation and analysis methodologies. Prior experience in SoC design, CAD engineering, or related areas, with a focus on physical design and signoff, is highly desirable.
