About this role
Responsibilities:
- Be an integral member of a cross-functional team in an agile environment
- Develop platform capabilities to meet business requirements
- Determine operational feasibility of proposed solutions
- Validate solutions using proof of concepts and prototypes
- Write simple code (low maintenance, extensibility, testability and performance)
- Collaborate with the team to take advantage of new concepts/technologies
- Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services at scale
- Explore practical uses of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity, code quality and delivery efficiency
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the teams
Your experience and/or qualifications:
- You will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- You will have around 3+ years of experience developing commercial software
- You will have experience working on Web Service APIs using Java and Spring
- You will have experience delivering solutions on GCP or AWS utilizing a broad set of the services available
- You have worked in a collaborative setting
- You will be a problem solver
- You demonstrate humility, empathy and support for your colleagues
- You are curious about emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development, and apply sound engineering judgment when adopting new tools
