About this role
The Head of HR will provide strategic leadership and direction across all aspects of the people agenda. The role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring Actavo remains an employer of choice.
Working closely with senior leadership, the Head of HR will lead organisational development, employee relations, leadership development, reward programmes and HR governance across the Group.
The role will balance strategic leadership with operational excellence, ensuring robust HR processes, compliance and people practices are embedded throughout the business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR team
- Develop and deliver a Group-wide people strategy aligned to business objectives
- Drive employee engagement, culture and leadership development programmes
- Oversee staff retention and performance management strategies
- Lead complex employee relations matters and ensure best practice people management
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies and governance standards
- Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, systems and reporting
- Lead organisational design, succession planning and workforce planning initiatives
Requirements:
- Degree qualified with CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
- 5+ years proven experience in a senior HR leadership role
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence at Executive level
- Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience leading organisational change and business transformation initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering or related sectors is advantageous
