3rd Shift - Health, Safety and Environmental Tech - Level IV - OFFC

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented 3rd Shift - Health, Safety and Environmental Tech - Level IV - OFFC to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Ladson, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

- Champion a proactive safety culture: Serve as a trusted HSE resource by identifying risks, reporting hazards and incidents, promoting stop-work authority, and helping create an interdependent, injury-free workplace.

- Strengthen HSE compliance and governance: Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, recordkeeping standards, and corporate compliance initiatives.

- Drive risk reduction and corrective actions: Assist with hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, trend analysis, and the timely closure of corrective and preventive actions to improve overall site safety performance.

- Enhance emergency preparedness and employee awareness: Deliver training, support emergency response processes, and communicate effectively to increase HSE knowledge, engagement, and workforce readiness.

- Support environmental stewardship and sustainability: Coordinate environmental management activities and help ensure operations minimize environmental impact while meeting regulatory and organizational expectations.

- Ensure quality and operational excellence: Perform quality checks, follow standard work and process documentation, identify non-conforming materials, and proactively raise issues that reduce quality and cost exposure.

- Promote continuous improvement through collaboration: Partner with assigned teams and support functions to improve safety, quality, processes, material flow, and employee development initiatives.

- Build organizational capability and engagement: Complete ongoing training, support wellness and employee engagement programs, participate in inspections and audits, and contribute to a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- Demonstrated experience working within a Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems), including their application to operational processes.
- Experience supporting HSE initiatives, regulatory compliance activities, hazard identification, risk assessment, incident prevention, and corrective action management.
- Previous experience participating in safety committees, audits, inspections, investigations, or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
- Candidates with prior HSE, EHS, Safety, Environmental, Industrial Compliance, or related operational experience will be strongly preferred.
