We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to support the procurement of materials and supplies needed for daily operations and production. This position is primarily responsible for creating and managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and helping ensure materials are available when needed. The Buyer will also assist with stockroom activities as needed, including cycle counting, processing engineering BOMs, and supporting inventory management and material flow throughout the facility.

- Assist with purchasing activities, including obtaining quotes, creating purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers.
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with vendors to help ensure materials are delivered on time.
- Process and maintain purchasing records and other related documentation within the ERP system.
- Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies as needed.
- Support inventory management activities, including receiving, stocking, and tracking materials.
- Work with engineering, production, and other departments to process BOMs and help ensure materials are available when needed.
- Assist with stockroom operations and material flow activities as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager.

Who are we looking for?

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Basic computer skills and experience with ERP, inventory, or purchasing systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with orders, inventory, and records.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to identify and resolve routine issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift experience and knowledge of material handling practices are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to regularly lift 10 pounds, occasionally lift 25 pounds, and rarely up to 50 pounds.
- This position involves working in an office and/or warehouse environment.
