Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related field.
- 5 years of experience in mining or construction environment is preferred.
- Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions.
- Understanding of heavy equipment and mining operations.
- Detail and process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and willing and able to adapt to fast-paced changing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and coach team(s) to ensure quality, production, and shipment requirements are being met
- Maintain a safe workplace and work culture in accordance with company policy(s) and MSHA standards
- Stay current with new equipment and technology in the industry
- Meet budgeted production targets
- Maintain environmental compliance per company policy, permits, and government regulations
- Manage data captured including but not limited to SAP inputs, timecard maintenance, EMS system, Blast reporting
- Manage employee productivity, job performance, and overall production efficiencies
- Implement training plans to provide employees with the necessary training to perform their job safely and effectively
- Ensure compliance with work instructions to define and control the production process
- Participate in long term capital project planning
- Manage capital projects within department
