The successful candidate will be analytical, resourceful, proactive and accountable, with strong critical thinking and sound judgment. This role provides broad exposure to U.S. benefits strategy, financial management, plan design and operations and significant opportunity for continued growth within Dover.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

- Analyze Dover’s health and welfare cost structure, funding arrangements, claims experience, enrollment and utilization data to identify key financial drivers and trends.
- Monitor actual benefit costs against forecast, investigate material variances and identify underlying risks, opportunities and cost drivers.
- Translate financial and benefits data into meaningful insights to support benefits programs and financial decisions.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting and renewal processes and prepare financial analyses, reporting and presentations for benefits leadership and other stakeholders.

Benefits Strategy, Plan Design & Program Performance

- Support the evaluation of benefit plan design, funding and cost-management opportunities using financial analysis, utilization data, market trends and benchmarking.
- Analyze benefit program performance and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness, competitiveness, employee value and long-term sustainability.
- Partner with benefits leadership, consultants and vendors to evaluate potential benefit changes, model alternatives and assess financial, employee and operational impacts.
- Conduct research and develop analyses and recommendations to support Dover’s U.S. benefits strategy and longer-term priorities.

Benefits Administration & Vendor Management

- Manage assigned aspects of Dover’s U.S. health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life insurance and disability benefits.
- Monitor vendor performance, service levels and deliverables; identify trends or recurring issues, hold vendors accountable for commitments and escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Research and resolve escalated employee and HR inquiries, partnering with benefits vendors and internal stakeholders to identify root causes, drive issues through resolution and determine when broader review or strategic direction is required.
- Support annual enrollment, benefit implementations, plan changes and ongoing initiatives, including project coordination, materials review, vendor readiness and day-to-day benefits leadership coverage as needed.

Compliance & Governance

- Stay informed of legislative and regulatory developments affecting employer-sponsored health and welfare plans, assess potential implications for Dover and support implementation of required changes.

- Support required health and welfare filings, disclosures and plan documents, including Form 5500, SPDs, SMMs, Medicare-related requirements, prescription drug reporting and other applicable requirements.

- Maintain the health and welfare compliance calendar and proactively coordinate with internal partners, consultants and vendors to ensure requirements and deadlines are met.
- Maintain organized documentation of benefit program decisions, governance activities, deliverables and required records.

Benefits Communications, Engagement & Wellbeing

- Analyze employee questions, participation, utilization and outcomes data to identify opportunities to improve awareness, engagement and program effectiveness.
- Develop and coordinate benefits communications and education, including monthly OpCo HR toolkits, employee webinars, health campaigns and annual enrollment communications.
- Manage health and wellbeing initiatives, including onsite health screenings, flu vaccination clinics and other programs across Dover locations.
- Manage communication and engagement initiatives from planning through execution, partnering with OpCo HR teams and vendors to resolve issues and ensure timely, accurate delivery.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible U.S. health and welfare benefits experience, with strong knowledge of employer-sponsored medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life insurance and disability programs; experience with large, multi-location or complex employers preferred.
