What You'll Do:
- Collect soil samples from various field sites using appropriate sampling techniques.
- Conduct field tests such as soil density, moisture content, and compaction.
- Perform laboratory tests including grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, and soil classification.
- Record and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of test results.
- Maintain and calibrate field and laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and technical reports.
- Communicate findings and observations to the Project Manager/Supervisor.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience
- Understanding of soil properties and testing methods
- Precision in collecting and analyzing soil samples
- Competence in conducting field tests and using laboratory equipment
- Ability to record, analyze, and interpret test results accurately
- Clear documentation and reporting of findings
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Efficiently managing tasks and maintaining a clean work environment
- Flexibility to work on various projects and adapt to changing conditions
Salary Range:
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications of the candidate as it relates to the position description.
