Mechanical Engineering Technician - Combustor Cover & Seal Support.

This position is 100% onsite; no remote or hybrid option is available at this time.

More Specific Duties Include:

- Perform technical support activities related to manufacturing and design analysis for the engineering team, including data collection, process evaluation, and documentation to support engineering feasibility determinations.

- Assist in the development of engineering procedures and specifications relevant to assigned manufacturing and engineering projects.

- Prepare and review manufacturing planning documentation for accuracy and consistency with approved engineering requirements and specifications.

- Review tooling and gauge modifications to ensure accurate measurements and compliance with approved redesign specifications.

- Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend modifications intended to improve product quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.

- Create and edit CNC recipes and programs based upon approved engineering specifications and validated manufacturing parameters.

- Assist in developing and analyzing lathe cutting processes to support compliance with blueprint specifications and engineering tolerances.

- Assist cell engineers with designing, reviewing, and modifying fixtures and tooling drawings associated with process development and new product designs.

- Review machine capabilities and operating parameters to identify and help resolve potential production limitations affecting new parts and manufacturing processes.

- Implement engineering-approved process improvements intended to reduce operational steps, standard production times, and tooling costs.

- Provide technical support related to production scheduling compliance and manufacturing workflow coordination.

- Support production process evaluations intended to reduce discrepancies, scrap rates, and overall manufacturing costs.

- Assist with coordination activities related to the insourcing of new parts and manufacturing processes.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

M-F 40 hrs./wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of two years of engineering technician experience or a minimum of two years of engineering-related education.

Minimum of two years of experience training and mentoring team members in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum of two years of experience involving combustor covers and seal supports for small gas turbine engine components.

Minimum of two years of experience using and calibrating measuring gauges in accordance with approved manufacturing planning and quality procedures.
