Work Schedule : Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity
The Executive Protection Specialist role at Ally Financial Inc. is an outstanding and exciting opportunity for individuals with a proven track record in protective services. This position is based in Charlotte and plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, security, and privacy of our executives, employees, and guests. You will be responsible for delivering world-class protection services during daily activities, travel, and special events. Your outstanding judgment, discretion, and situational awareness will enable you to identify, assess, and reduce potential risks while maintaining a low-profile and professional demeanor.


The Work Itself

- Provide executive protection support during routine movements, business travel, and special events.
- Conduct route planning, site assessments, and advance work to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Maintain situational awareness and respond appropriately to emergencies, threats, and security incidents.
- Coordinate with executive assistants, facilities teams, security partners, and law enforcement agencies to support protective operations.
- Provide secure transportation for executives as needed.
- Support executive residential security, workplace security programs, and special event security planning.
- Assist with the development and execution of security plans, threat assessments, and executive travel briefings.
- Process visitors and guests at executive floor security checkpoints while maintaining a professional customer experience.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles, communication equipment, and other security resources in accordance with established standards.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies on the executive floor and provide assistance to executives as required.
- Participate in ongoing training related to executive protection, defensive tactics, emergency response, and protective operations.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive business and personal information.
- Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and travel, as required to support executive protection activities.

Preferred Qualifications

- 5-7 years of experience in executive protection, law enforcement, military protective services, or a related security field.
- Strong knowledge of executive protection principles, threat management, advance planning, and protective operations.
- Experience conducting site assessments, security planning, and risk mitigation for executive travel and events.
- Understanding of security threats and risks associated with protecting senior executives and high-profile individuals.
- Working knowledge of incident management practices and security operations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in dynamic and rapidly changing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record preferred.

Additional Requirements for All Physical Security Roles

- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including conducting security assessments, supporting security operations, participating in emergency response activities, and carrying out assigned security responsibilities.
- Ability to identify, assess, document, escalate, and appropriately respond to security incidents, safety concerns, emergencies, disruptions, and unauthorized access events using sound judgment and established procedures.
- Ability to successfully obtain, maintain, and demonstrate proficiency in all required security, safety, emergency response, compliance, and job-related training, certifications, and qualifications.
- Ability to effectively perform duties in a variety of work environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, construction areas, and varying weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to meet job-related physical requirements, including lifting and carrying equipment or materials as required by the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Additional Requirements for Executive Protection Roles

In addition to the requirements applicable to all Physical Security roles, candidates must be able to:

- Support executive protection operations, including protective movements, secure escorts, executive transportation, access control, event security, route planning, threat awareness, and logistical coordination.
- Assess, document, escalate, and respond appropriately to security concerns, incidents, emergencies, and potential threats involving protected individuals using sound judgment and established procedures.
- Maintain proficiency in required executive protection, security, emergency response, safety, and compliance-related training, certifications, and qualifications.
- Assist in the planning and execution of executive travel, special events, site assessments, and other protective operations to help ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Respond effectively during emergency situations, including assisting with evacuations, providing guidance and support to employees and executives, and helping ensure the safe and orderly movement of personnel.
- Perform duties in a dynamic environment that may require extended standing, walking, stair navigation, and movement throughout company facilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Exercise a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality while supporting executives and handling sensitive information.

- 1+ years of experience
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Base Pay Range
$55,000.00 - $95,000.00

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.


Incentive Compensation:

This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
