Assistant Technician

We are looking to add a talented Assistant Technician to our team in the Boise, Idaho area. The Assistant Technician will be involved in several aspects of building control systems related to fire and smoke damper inspections, testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) of environmental and HVAC systems performed on air and hydronics equipment. Depending on experience, the Assistant Technician may be asked to take part in the TAB apprenticeship program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Inspection of fire and smoke damper equipment and control systems

- Test, Adjust, and Balance commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems

- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications

- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

- Communicate effectively with all construction project team members

- Ability to travel, including to sites for several days, primarily in the Pacific Northwest

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Familiarity with mechanical drawings, HVAC systems, and HVAC control sequences preferred

- Ability to handle physical workload, working at heights on lifts and ladders

- Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn new skills

- Strong problem solving, math and critical thinking skills

- Independent, self-motivated, and punctual

- Career-minded, willing to earn certifications for advancement

REQUIREMENTS

- High School Diploma/GED

- Valid Driver's License with a good record
