Supervising Producer

OVERVIEW
Morning Brew Inc. is looking for a Supervising Producer to work on long-form content for our flagship YouTube account, Morning Brew. Whether it’s a business explainer on how 
Arc'teryx became the office uniform of corporate America or an investigation into the source of our generic medication, Morning Brew thrives on being the hub for everything you need to know about the world of business and the business of the world.  
You’ll partner with our cast of talented and multifaceted producers to help execute their vision for the business stories we want to tell, based on producer interests, data-driven decision making, and an understanding of the Morning Brew audience. 
As the supervising producer, you will help shape the story in both the scriptwriting phase and in the edit, oversee film shoots, and be a voice in the shaping of packaging for each YouTube video. The ideal candidate loves to nerd out over YouTube strategy, is a great storyteller at their core, and loves to collaborate and ideate on different styles, approaches, and tone of voices, spanning from engagingly informative to comedically informative.  
Candidates must be located in the greater New York City area. This position will report to the Director of Social & Video 
WHAT YOU’LL DO 
- In collaboration with Director of Video, help vet story strength in pitch approval process 
- Partner with producer on creating and executing outlines, scripts and videos, with a focus on story structure and platform-readiness 
- Work with producer and editor in post-production, providing feedback on visuals and/or story 
- Discover and pitch potential story assignments to producers based on understanding of the Morning Brew voice  
- Work on YouTube packaging alongside producer and in-house graphics team 
- Build out production timelines and deadlines for each long-form projects 
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Experience leading or working on a YouTube team, with a strong growth and view performance record 
- Experience working with creators and producers (and knowing the difference between the two) 
- An understanding of YouTube analytics, and ability to know when to factor them into editorial decisions 
- Willingness to experiment and take big swings 
- A strong understanding of business news and ability to uncover a unique business angle to stories 
- Player-coach attitude, you’re a leader who likes to get their hands dirty and help where needed, whether it's in the edit or out in the field.

- Prior experience writing and/or editing humorous content 
- DP background/Ability to shoot on FX3s 
COMPENSATION $125,000 - $130,000 base *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.

BRIEF BREW HISTORY
Morning Brew Inc. was founded in 2015 by two entrepreneurial college students who noticed their peers were not consuming legacy media resources about business and finance news, but had a high desire to learn about those topics. What started as a small on-campus email has since evolved into a multi-channel media company that operates 20+ unique content franchises. All while maintaining our witty, honest and engaging tone that millions of loyal MBI audience members rely upon daily to better navigate the world.

In 2020 a majority stake in MBI was acquired by Axel Springer SE and in February 2025 that position was increased to full ownership of the business.
