About the role

We're looking for a Technology Partner Manager to own our relationships with technology partners, including Shopify. Your job is to identify which technology partners are worth focusing on and which aren't, then drive mutual commercial value between Alia and the partners worth investing in. Revenue generated from technology-partner referrals will be a key KPI for this role.

You will be the first of your kind in this role – agency partnerships has been the predominant focus of partnerships at Alia historically. That being said, there has been a lot of organic interest from technology partners in the ecosystem to work with Alia and for the first time ever you will represent Alia’s technology partner program for those partners and be their POC and play a hand in sculpting it’s structure.

What you'll do

- Manage all incoming technology-partnership requests and confidently identify which are a good fit and which aren't
- Proactively find ways to add mutual value in strong-fit partnerships
- Help craft the structure of our technology partner program
- Own education and enablement for our technology partners
- Grow revenue generated and GTM value through technology partnerships
- Initiate co-marketing efforts for warranted partners, such as joint case studies, white papers, webinars, blog posts, social promotion and more
- Travel and participation in events and conferences where you’ll represent Alia and our technology partnership program to the ecosystem
- Build a proactive activation strategy for a partner channel that has, until now, run on inbound and organic referrals alone
- Keep partners fully informed on new feature releases and other updates relevant to their ability to refer business
- Effectively work cross-functionally within the team to coordinate with appropriate departments across sales, product and support where needed to provide adequate support for agency partners
- Maintain a revenue mindset around enabling and activating partners

What we're looking for

Network & Industry Experience

- Established network within the Shopify ecosystem, ideally spanning platform/marketing technology partners
- Track record of building and monetizing partner relationships that drove measurable referral revenue

Partner Identification & Strategy

- Working technical understanding of the Shopify ecosystem — enough to evaluate a potential partner's product, integration depth, and audience overlap against our GTM strategy
- Ability to independently identify and prioritize partners with high capacity to refer business, not just high name recognition
- Comfort translating product and positioning knowledge into a partner point of view (why us, why now, why this partner)

Relationship Management at Scale

- Proven ability to manage hundreds of concurrent partner relationships without letting any go cold
- Highly organized, with a system (CRM, tracking, cadence) for staying on top of a large and varied partner portfolio
- Experience running partner enablement — training, education, and ongoing engagement that turns awareness into active referrals

Communication & Relationship Skills

- Excellent written, verbal, and in-person communication skills
- Genuinely enjoys people — warm, charming, and easy to work with; builds trust quickly and makes partners want to engage
- Confident presenting to and educating both individual reps and partner teams

Working Style

- Comfortable and effective working remotely, with strong self-management and proactive communication habits
- Enjoys travel and in-person events (conferences, partner summits, meetups) as a core part of relationship-building
- Prior experience in a partnerships, business development, or channel role, ideally in SaaS or e-commerce

Why join us

We’re a bootstrapped startup that grew to $13M+ ARR without taking VC money, and we were recently acquired, giving the team stability and resources while keeping the startup speed and culture intact. This is a largely greenfield channel: we know there's real revenue in our technology partnerships, but up until this point no one has owned activating it. You'll have genuine autonomy to decide which partners are worth Alia's time and to build the playbook for turning inbound interest into a proactive, revenue-generating channel.
