Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Meat Cutter (40 hours/week) at our Food Store location in Nipawin, Saskatchewan .

Reporting to the Meat Team Leader, responsibilities for the position include the following:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members’ lives with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Cut, trim, grind, and prepare various cuts of meat according to customer requests and store requirements.
• Wrap, weigh, label, and price meat products to Co-op standards while maintaining production records.
• Stock and display products with a focus on well-organized, visually appealing presentation.
• Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory is on the shelf; follow First in, first out (FIFO).
• Maintain accurate records to support inventory management, including completing paperwork for claims, damages, and shortages.
• Clean and sanitize meat department tools, equipment, and workstations.
• Support and follow Food Safe, Asset Protection, and Safety Management regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
You are looking for a career opportunity in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and meet the following:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; previous meat cutting experience and meat cutter trade certification is an asset.
• Honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do.
• Well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Strongly service-oriented, motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
• Able to fulfill physical labour job requirements, including regular heavy lifting and working in refrigerated and freezer environments.
• Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
• Flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
